Look at Fat Heart! Look at crunchy ol' Joan Jett! Look at Robert Plant! Look at ALL of the Rolling Stones! Look at the Who! Uggghhh, look at AC/DC! All unattractive and old, right? Their rock and roll lifestyle shows all of their excesses, for sure! BUT! Still alive! And, for the most part, still rockin'! And touring! I love it! My only complaint is Pat; for example, is $100 a ticket, Stones and the Who are worse! Discount tickets for 70's and 80's people, that's got my vote!

I've been to several Pat Benatar concerts & Joan Jett. I saw both Joan Jett and Pat Benatar perform in their prime in the 80's; in fact I think I saw them the same year; Pat Benatar at Reunion ARENA and Joan Jett at SIX FLAGS! Pat Benatar was a hard rocker then; Joan wasn't in her league.

I really dig Pat Benetar and her band. Isn't she married to the guitarist? I saw her back in the 80's and she can still wail away. And as a bonus she sings about those fuckers who abuse children. Leaves them scarred forever instead of having wonderful youthful memories. The only woman rawker who sings better (TO ME) is Ann Wilson of HEART fame. HEART has videos from the 70's/80's and currently on youtube. Still a power to be reckoned with in rock n roll, the Wilson sisters I mean and PAT!!!

The thing is, Pat can still sing *exactly* the way she did back in the day. When she wants to. If you look for "Wuthering Heights" on You Tube you'll see what I mean. But she seems to have chosen to phone in these rockers, screaming instead of going for the high notes. So it's not a matter of ability really. I'm thinking that if Mike Reno of Loverboy can still hit the notes, shouldn't be an issue for Pat!

"When she wants to" aka: Studio recoring with editing and filtering and retakes for thos missed notes. I'm sure she can hit the high notes if she is rested and prepared and focused...........which is hard to do when she's on tour, as she is during this video. Some performers don't take a chance on a bad revue for cracking a high note and instead play it safe. Sucks but that's how it goes I guess.

I referenced "Wuthering Heights" which she did, on tour, a few years back. She hit all the notes. It's simply a matter of discipline and wanting. Pat still has the chops, it's just that she's a part-time singer these days, and she chooses not to put in the work. Or Neil and her choose lazy arrangements. Their live act hasn't budges much in the past 10 years, and that shows a lack of commitment.
