  • @Originalskateboards If I choose the S8 and the 69mm HotSpots... What kind of bearings would you recommande?? What's the advantage of pushing some cash into the bearings?

Haven't skated a lot in the last summer but I'm really stooked for the upcomming one!

    See you guys!

  • i know this has probably been asked a lot but i really want to get this board but will it be okay to cruise on bumpyish roads?

  • @Marthabrowneyes It really only depends on the wheels and bushings this board is for cruising.

  • @Marthabrowneyes yea! Get yourself a softer wheel to make the ride a bit smoother.

  • What are some good wheels for my Torpedo 40 on S6 Trucks? I wore out the original ones and I'm looking to buy new ones. Thanks.

  • Camper in the bushes 2:00 LOL

  • Which wheels should i use so that i can slide?

  • @LaHaBaKa look for a wheel with rounded edges and a durometer of 80a or higher!

  • @Originalskateboards

then between the pintail 43 and 46 which is better for beginners. thanks by the way

  • @R0FLLMA0WTF pintail 46 is 46inches and pintail 43 is 43 inches. It all depends on what you want to do.

  • I know this board Is made for carving and cruising but would it also be able to handle smallish hills without getting death wobbles

  • @Milbink Yea, it could handle it if you upgrade the trucks to s8 or s10 and upgrade the springs to red (increased tension) and white ( maxed tension).

  • i wanna know if i should either get a pintail 40 or a torpedo 40. i live in a city with a lot of cars and pedestrians but a also a lot of back streets, there are also a lot of hills that i would have to be able to get down easily. Which one would be better?

  • @21centuryNtertainmnt i would go for the pintail.

  • Hey original I'm thinking of gettin a torpedo but I need to know before I get it if it is possible to slide with

  • @Milbink yes! put some harder wheels on it and you'll be able to slide for sure.

  • I'm new at this and I really just want to cruise with my friends and I have bumpy roads and I was wondering what a good board would be

  • @AFlamingFlamingo for just cruising around the Torpedo 40, Malakai 40, or our Pintail series would all be good boards. The Malakai and Torpedo have more flex to them, and are good for carving. The Pintails are lower, and stiffer, making them more stable for smaller hills and cruising.

  • @Originalskateboards

i guess for a person like me, 230 -240 pounds and about 5 9-5 10 wouldnt fit with the torpedo or malakai 40

  • @R0FLLMA0WTF you would be better off with a Pintail 43 or 46.

  • @AFlamingFlamingo dont get an original if ur going over any kind of bumps, get a sector 9 or landyachtz

  • Would it hold up 180 ponds?

  • @KillaTamales yes, but you would want to put red or white springs in your trucks. This board is very flexy though, so you may also want to check into our Pintail series which would be a bit stiffer and offer more stability.

  • @Originalskateboard ok thanks but im new to this and my friend got me into longboarding so any other suggestions?

  • I love my torpedo but the part about nose manuals is complete bull. I'd like to see you even TRY to nose manual on one! No disrespect Original,I love you guys and your trucks, but the torpedo cannot nose manual.

  • ...wait a sec what ever happened to joel? haha

  • @XxKrYpToNiiTExX he still works with us here at Original!!!

  • @Originalskateboards yaay! :D joel is such a boss ;)

  • What wheel do the original team riders prefer for the torpedo 40?

  • @MrGuitarGeckoMan it depends what we are doing. If we are sliding I like the 80a Orangatang stimulus wheels with the torpedo

  • Hello I just recently saw some of you guys videos and really wanna be apart of long boarding. I just don't know what board to get! The town I live in has tons of hills and I really would like a board that can cruise and slide really good. Could you recommend one?

  • @HaloGamer234 check out our pintail series and our freeride boards!!! The Pintails are better for cruising and slower speeds, but if you are looking to go over 25mph then look into the freerides.

  • @Originalskateboards

whats the best board for cruising, im a big guy, nearly 5 foot 10 and like 230 -240 pounds

  • @R0FLLMA0WTF the Pintail 43 with white heavy tension springs in the trucks, or the Freeride 41 with rocker concave, or the Apex 40 (either concave) would be great boards for you!

  • @HaloGamer234 the freeride boards or the pintails.

  • @Originalskateboards u guys should make a deck for surfing for a joke and make a vid about it

  • Hey Original! Just wondering what ''Graphic Blem'' Is.

    Thank You!

    Daniel,

  • @Danoum001 It's when in the manufacturing of one of our boards, the graphic gets chipped or scratch.

  • I am about 105 pounds. will this board support me and not bottom out if i do some minor drops and kickers?

  • @timtebow15DenBRO If you want to do drops and kickers I suggest the apex 37 instead. It's built to withstand impact.

  • do original trucks come with risers?

  • @timtebow15DenBRO Some of our boards come standard with risers.

  • @Originalskateboards does the torpedo 40 come with them

  • @timtebow15DenBRO Yes it does

  • should I get risers with mine?

  • I have fallen in love with this board, but I found it is rather difficult to perform any tricks on it due to its weight and length. Does anyone have any trick tips that would go well with the torpedo 40?

  • i wanna cruise, is a torpedo 40 or pintail 43 better?

  • @shiweiooi pintail 43 because its lower to the ground, thus making pushing easier.

  • @mrghostrage thanks. Do you think the Penny skateboard would be better?

  • @shiweiooi omg penny boards are the best <3

  • @shiweiooi i doubt it.

  • I remember when I first staarted skating I thought this awesome. now I just think of how much better I am than this dude. Ya know?

  • @atp1130 hahahaha SAME HERE. i bought this board thinking it was the shit. now finally got something better to freeride and do some real slides

  • @Originalskateboards Whats the biggest wheels you can have on a torpedo with s8's?

  • @JoeRooney1000 i suggest sticking with a wheel that's 70mm or smaller with the Torpedo 40

  • @Originalskateboards can this handle my weight of 220? and im 6 foot :$

  • It doesnt seem like a very sturdy board like th pintail series...is it?

  • @PumpedUpKicks7 the torpedo and malakai both have more flex than the pintails, which are stiffer, more stable boards. The Torpedo is better for carving

  • Comment removed

  • @PumpedUpKicks7 it's 40 inches long!

  • i though abec 3's r shit?

  • Torpedo with 65 wheels and S6 trucks, is it safe to take the risers off...

or should you then upgrade to S8's ?

Or is leaving them off not an option ?

  • @kurtcobayn leaving the risers off, even with s8s, will most likely get wheel bite

  • @Originalskateboards

Thanks for your reply. I like the Torpedo a lot.

Think I'm gonna buy me a Pintail too.

I'm just a bit worried about the griptape.

It's very nicely cut around the logo in the middle...

but how to recreate that ? ( haven't found any replacement for sale )

  • @kurtcobayn you could give us a call and we could do a special order. It would cost around $10 for new grip, free shipping

  • @Originalskateboards

    Thank you, that's really cool...

But... I live in Europe and the shipping fee + import taxes are a bit of a problem.

( I actually wanted to order my Torpedo directly from your company, but was forced to buy it in Germany, because of said fee and the import taxes. )

  • im looking for a board that can slide and cruse what should choose?

  • @13scottb13 the torpedo, malakai, or any of the pintail series!

  • @13scottb13 selling my torpedo, its in great shape. message me if you are interested

  • @murybcm yea but where u live ?

  • I love how he says "65 mm wheels and abec 3 bearings" like it's a good thing hahaha

  • 6'0 and 170 pounds. i own the 46 but i want this one too lol. could i fit this board?

  • @MISTERMISTER361 yes you can. This board is much more flexible than the pintail 46, and it carves easier too since it uses risers and s6 trucks. You may want to get s8 trucks with it and some red medium tension springs so you have a little bit more stability.

  • what's the major difference between the torpedo 40 and pintail 40?

  • @samber122 the torpedo is much more flexible, has a kick tail, and uses risers, making it great for carving but not so stable. The pintail 40 is a flat deck with 7 maple plys, making it stiff. It's also lower to the ground making it much more stable.

  • @originalskateboards okay thanks! Ill go with it!

  • I have this board I am 5'9 127 and this board is awesome. I have small hills and I like cruising, carving, and sliding and this board is perfect. I recommend S8 if u have good hill because it gets a little scary on S6's great board and go out and get one!

  • Im 5-3. Is this board to big for me? I wanna generate a good amount of speed when riding on flat land

  • @Kurve6258 hey, this board isn't too big for you at all! If you're looking for a board that's good at pumping on flat land then the Torpedo would be a good choice since it's a flexible board, uses risers, and can use our s6 trucks!

  • wheels that are mentioned by the man when it comes to all wheels and mentions blue (which is blue)?

  • Also for my last comment is it good on mainly flat lands for cruising?

  • @MrNouVegas Yeah, the Torpedo is designed for that stuff: cruising and carving on hills and slatland.

  • Hey original would this be a good starting board for me? Im 5' 9" and weigh 125 (yeah im skinny)

  • @MrNouVegas the torpedo would be a great beginner board for you! It has enough flex to it to make carving easy!

  • @Originalskateboards for flat land would you reccomend s6 or s8s? there are virtually no hills at all where i live. just urban and suburban streets and curbs

  • @MrNouVegas the s6 trucks will allow you to make the most aggressive carves, and the s8s will be a bit more stable

  • I like this guy. Other companies could learn from Original's advertising.

  • Hey OriginalSkateboards. I'm looking in to buy my cousin a longboard he craves so much but I fear that I won't be able to find a longboard for him. He is 6ft tall and weighs about 240lb. Is there a longboard that is best fitted for his height and weight?

  • Comment removed

  • @decaazrulez all trucks come installed with the black spring, which is the lightest tension. You can always upgrade to the red or white spring for $12.

  • Hey Original. You make sick videos especially that pintail one called Longboard Pintails. I have a Jay Adams z flex but i'm hoping of getting a longboard soon. Whats a good longboard where u can carve really well and can get a decent amount of speed. I don't really wanna do a lot of tricks just carve mostly. If u could give me a name of a board or boards that would be great thanks

  • @majorleaguegamer123 check out our Torpedo and Malakai! They're both 40 inches long, and have a great amount of flex to them so you can really pump into your carves!

  • GET THIS BOARD

  • Hey, Original! I'm new to longboarding and I'd like to get a board for cruising and some speed im 5'8 and like 200 pounds maybe les maybe more what board should i get for like the ny bomb 2012

  • @Low6411 The pintail 43 would be a great board for your height and weight!

  • Comment removed

  • @Xxwilderbeast201Xx if you enjoy your pintail 40 but want more flex than the Torpedo is the way to go! It's a flexier board and uses risers, making it carve extremely easy! You can get s6 trucks for tighter carves, or you can upgrade to the s8's like your pintail 40 for a bit more stability and all around performance!

  • Hey, Original! I'm new to longboarding and I'd like to get a board for cruising/carving, mostly on flatlands. I wanted to get a Pintail 43 so bad, but I'm afraid it's too big to ride on the streets through crowded spaces. So I thought I'd get a Torpedo 40, but I don't want that much flex either so I won't get speed wobbles when I decide to go downhill. I'm 174cm and 59kg. Which board would fit my purposes best?

  • @maurabazzarelli have you checked out the Pintail 40? It's 40 inches like the Torpedo, but it's lowered to the ground and isn't as flexible, making it more stable!! While the 43 was made with 9 plys, the 40 is made with 7, making it not as heavy, so you can definitely move through crowded streets and get tight carves in.

  • @Originalskateboards Actually, the Pintail 40 was the first I checked, but I want a board as stable as possible so I can go downhill as well. I'm not interested in doing tricks, just mainly crusing and carving. Will the Pintail 43 do good on flatlands? Is it easy to push and go long distances?

  • @maurabazzarelli depending on your height and weight, the pintail 40 would be fine for you and can handle smaller hills. If you put red springs in the trucks you'll have more stability, but will still have the ability to carve. The 43 is fine on flat lands and is easy to push because it's low to the ground like the 40, however, it may be a bit more difficult to make tighter, sharper carves at a lower speed because it's stiffer and longer.

  • @Originalskateboards All right. Thanks! :)

  • Hi original, do you ship to Costa Rica ? If you do, how much will it cost ?

  • @coco123251 yes we do!! International shipping is $60.

  • Would this board be good for a beginner? That mostly wants to cruise, and possibly advance to some freestyle but mostly carving/sliding and cruising. If so would I need to order with a specific set of wheels for what I want^?

  • @latinsensation26 this board is good for a beginner, and is awesome for carving because it's pretty flexible. You can definitely slide with this board too, just get a set of wheels with the durometer of 80a or 83a.

  • @TwoBigGamers this board is just like the Malakai and we usually do not suggest it to someone over 81 kg because it's very flexible. The pintail series, however, are made with 7 and 9 plys of wood so they would be a better choice.

  • BAM ! ! !

  • what kind of bearings does it have

  • i play longboard, but what i dont get is why is he swaying side-by-side on his longboard? can sombody explain this to me? thanks

  • I am about to buy my first board and i was looking into this board. I live in Allen, Texas and i kinda just wanna cruise with friends, and when i get better ill do some tricks. im 5'8" 135 lbs and i was wondering if this was a good board for me?

  • @StoopidMonkay the Pintail 40 would be a great cruising board and can do some minor tricks. If you plan on getting serious about freestyle you may want to check into the Apex 37.

  • @Originalskateboards hey original im planning to longboard and im a begginer and i dont know what to pick and i just wanna cruise with friends but i dont know if i should get the malakai 40 or the torpedo 40, i am 5'4'' 115 lbs. help?

  • @volcomstone559 both boards ride pretty much exactly the same. They're both flexy and great for cruising and carving. If you plan on doing any freestyle you may want to go with the Torpedo because it has a kicktail.

  • @volcomstone559 thanks!!

  • Cant do tricks with the nose, board's too heavy.

  • "Being a lifeguard I use the torpedo to save people...Not this torpedo but a torpedo"

    GETS ME EVERYTIME

  • SO if I live in Dallas/Ft. Worth area, this would be the best board for me? I really wanna longboard, i just dont know what kind of board i need.

  • @Surferd00d93 what is your height and weight? Also, what type of riding do you plan on doing. Do you have experience? Once we know more info we can help you choose the right set up for you.

  • @Originalskateboards Im 5'5" and 130. I plan on cruising, i live in the city, and some carving. i have no experience, and i plan on taking this to college.

  • @Surferd00d93 Check out the Pintail 37. It's a smaller board, and is easy to learn on, but you can still get some tight carves in while cruising.

  • @Originalskateboards I have a couple years of Surfing experience, Im 5'5" and 130 pounds, I wanna cruise and keep my surf practice up.

  • @Surferd00d93 check out our Hybrid. This board is made to simulate surfing.

  • Hey Originals, with an S8 truck it works without the riser? it gets more stability? and by the way which are the biggest wheel for this board? because i've got the kryptonic's one but they are a little too small for all-around

  • @NicoMarte the Torpedo needs the riser even with the s8 truck, or an s10. We recommend sticking with a wheel that's 70mm or smaller, otherwise you may get wheelbite.

  • is it good for a first board

  • Comment removed

  • Does original ship to Finland plz reply!

  • hey Original. I am 14 about 5'4 and 100 lbs im looking to carve and cruise and do a little board walking would you recomend this board for me?

  • @brittonisthecoolest Sounds like this would be a great board for you!

  • @Originalskateboards I have just ordered the Torpedo and I'm wondering if this board is good for sliding. The board is mounted with S6 trucks, Orangatang Fat Free 83a Wheels and Bones Super Reds Bearings; Is this a good combo for sliding and cruising? Please let me know.

  • @GrungeBob1994 you should be able to slide fine, especially with the fat frees!

  • what's a good second board? Im skilled. please help

  • are these normal trucks? please respond

  • @rhinoproductions98 the trucks in this video are Original trucks which are spring loaded.

  • i weigh 150 lbs and im in eighth grade i want this board to last so what is the weight limit on this board please respond, thanx.

  • @xlilLenz52 we don't recommend anyone over 180lbs to ride this board.

  • i got this board its good

  • How Much Are These Things ? I Want One

  • @XxRuneScape100 $169 without tax. $186 including tax.

  • Thanks for your help I'll order one soon

  • Thanks and one more question how much is the torpedo if I upgraded to s8 and better wheels

  • @zeldaeproductions a standard Torpedo setup is $169. Add s8's and upgraded wheels and you'll probably spend around $200ish

  • Original I'm trying to get enough money to buy the torpedo 40 i like to slide and hoping to learn some big power slides what wheels should I get

  • @zeldaeproductions keep the wheels no bigger than 70mm with the Torpedo to prevent wheel bit. If you want to slide, look for wheels with a harder durometer, around 83a or 86a.

  • can we get free stickers for not getting anything =D

  • @Ufaithful just email us your shipping information and we will send some out to you :)

  • @Originalskateboards OMG THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! whats your email? =D

  • I just purchased a torpedo 40 and was wondering what are some good tricks to begin with on this board?

  • Is lonboarding easier then skateboarding? I ALWAYS had trouble turning on a skateboard.

  • @xxxExvxaxnxxx Turning on a longboard (specifically an Original) is easier than on a skateboard. As far as Original trucks are concerned, turning was the main goal. If you are looking for more maneuverability we can certainly get that in a board for you.

  • @xxxExvxaxnxxx ya a lot eseire

  • Hate to be a downner, but kryptonic wheels and abec 3 bearings are really bad abec is a rating system for manufacturers. abec 3, 5, 7, 9 are the ratings...

  • Is this longboard good for longe distance traveling

  • I recommend this board for slalom , its so fucking EPIC :D

  • hey let me know when u post the video u filmed in new york i met u guys on lockhart mtn rd and u guys can shread mad props keep up the great work

  • Good first board, I recommend it :D

  • I really want this board

  • I love the Torpedo 40. It's so flexible and amazing. Some of my friends said the board is a little bit loose but I think It's just flexible! This is the first longboard I've had and I love love love it!!! But it's kinda heavy for a 15 years old girl like me to carry around though ):

P/s: Thanks for the stickers and poster! You guys are awesome!!!! <3<3<3

  • @nganmai412 Im 13 and I wanna get this longboard. Do you think I should, as a first longboard?

  • @madwolfmaniac I'm not a professional longboarder, but having this one as my first longboard was amazing. Like I said, it's flexible so it's easy for you to control. It's just a little bit heavy to carry around. But yes, I think you should get this one, as a first longboard! (:
