Very interesting! In the UK the Police used to rent out patrol cars to petrol stations that had a high number of people driving off without paying. They did the trick as no one would go in to the garage with a fully marked and drivable police car sitting there. Some of our SHELL garages also have ANPR cameras to alert police to people with stolen cars, incorrectly spaced numberplates, vehicle markers, no tax/insurance/MOT etc. The police make lots of money from renting out their old cars!!!!

Knowing this because I've rode with my friend who is a sheriff on duty. I know in the city i live in the cops can read that you have a radar in your vehicle and they do have a system on board that has interference that will effect your radar.

In small towns what is common around here. Real cop car is left on the street a hat flip back against the cage looks like person in the car, radar is left on and no cop. You see a lot heavy braking, as people slow down. Most of the time then dont speed up again.
