  • nossa eu com um desses aqui no Brasil

    muito legal

  • And yeah, it is really important to inflate your boat properly. The reason to why my speed-keels broke is most likely that the previous owner ran the boat with too low pressure. This made the speed-keels vibrate too much and the material delaminated. So tell your friend to make sure to inflate his boat properly. :-)

  • I'm also building my own jack-plate to get the engine even higher mounted (the 40 hp in the vid above is really low down compared to how the 60 hp is mounted now). I've also made a lot of other modifications to the boat...

Hopefully I'll get both the engine and boat ready for some more testruns before the water freezes. :-)

  • Thanks!!

I'm working hard with the boat right now. First of all I've fitted my 60 hp Yamaha on it and hit 46 knots with it. However, right now the engine is down in small parts since I'm changing carburetors and exhaust-pipe to make it a 70 hk. Think I'll be done in about two weeks. Sadly I blew the speed-keels last time out (delamination). However me and a friend is working on a solution that will fix this and make the boat even faster.

  • Your boat is Amazing. I saw a post where you detailed everything to get it right. One thing people don't understand is that you NEED properly inflated tubes. A friend of mine with a 14 ft foot under-inflates his, because he doesn't want to risk punctures, but then again his boat is doggy out of the gate.
