Well Intune, size is a very relative concept. A perfect example of something being able to form into a compact shape would be intestines, miles upon miles of tract is located within' your stomach. Also the wire of a c.d. when stretched out stretches for a little more then 3 miles. So it is possible so long as all the parts of Soundwave were capable of conforming to the desired shape.
