So, regardless of the fact that we would develop it at our own, got the homologation first and then build entire city network on BOT basis - no takers.
Well, because city officials are not spending their own money but taxpayers, they are quite happy to spend them on GUARANTEED AND PROVEN LOSS making business like buses or LRT, rather than to accept a NO RISK, NO COST offer like ours.
So how can we win? Perhaps citizen revolt, like the one on the tax issue in California few years ago? :)
This may be reasonable if we asked city to spend money. But if we don’t then the city has no risk whatsoever because if we do not deliver then not a dime left city coffers. And if we do deliver then there is no need for city to spent a dime either, because the system will be profitable. And EVEN IF IT WASN’T then the city would NOT PAY MORE than for bus or LRT service. So can someone tell us what is the downside ?!
All we need is for any city to give to us the SAME Service Contract as they give to bus or LRT companies. Except that we do not want any money from the city as we would get the funds from banks or private investors because MISTER will be very profitable. Yet despite such a clear cut, honest, workable offer - city officials hide behind consultants and consultants these hide behind the excuse that something MUST BE PROVEN FIRST.
Thanks a lot for the appreciation. I usualy get a lot of flak, so it is nice for a change for someone to understand what I am trying to do for the society at large, not just myself.
Unfortunately, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Ithaca, Vancouver etc. Councils did not accept our FREE of cost offer to build MISTER systems either.
Just as well that cars and airplanes were invented before ‘consultants and local authorities' of all kinds, got the powers to decide what can and cannot work.
This is the most realistic visualization of the MISTER system I have seen. It was very easy to imagine MISTER in our town (Santa Cruz CA USA). Greetings and congratulations to the Kiwi(s) who did this, and good luck to Ollie M. MISTER has fans in Santa Cruz.
