The simple truth is that the Democrat Party's history during this century is one closely aligned to bigotry in a record stemming largely out of the liberal New Deal era up until the modern day. Bigots are at the center of the Democrat party's current leadership and role models. Too bad that you are not aware of the law. People are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Bill Clinton was impeached but not convicted. The current Gov. should be convicted if the FBI information is true but he has not even been indited to date. All the other crook politicians in Il. say Burris is a good candidate but don't support him because of the Gov. appointing him. We have to start acting on logic and not principal. Bush acted on principal. Seat Burris him stop complaining.

But, at 71, he has run once for Mayor of Chicago, twice for Governor of Illinois and lost each time. Although he has been Attorney General, he doesn't seem to have too much public support for a position in administrative government. He has filed two motions in the last week to force the Illinois Supreme Court to accept his appointment with no avail so far. It just seems to me that it isn't so much a racial matter as it is as a washed up "has-been" throwing gasoline on the fire.

I'd personally prefer a black woman. Black folks are close to 15% of the U.S. population, and yet there are now zero blacks in the Senate.

All things being equal, I hope a black woman is appointed. But if there is a person who has more intellect, wisdom, and vision, go with the best.
