I love the Rocky Films, and I really love Apollo, because they show that, even though he was the "villain" in the first film, he wasn't a bad man, he was a fighter, just like Rocky, and he had good character and decency.

From the time I saw him come out in those Red, White, and Blue shorts, I was like, THIS is the modern American hero, our own Prince Charming, who has none of the doubt and fear that Rocky has, he's confident, he's strong, he can't be beat! (but he was :( )

Excellent. Apollo was a magnificent Ali-esque character, a brilliant contrast to Rocky. My opinion as a fight fan is that in his prime, Creed would have beaten everyone in Rocky's era. Rocky himslef is 0-1 with Apollo and would have been unlikely to beat him in his prime. Clubber Lang (Mr T) would have been defeated by Apollo's mobility, speed and balance as would Drago (without the steroids). Also, Apollo was a very hurtful puncher. How few dropped Rocky? If only real HW boxing was as good now!
