I don't think the guy's in any emotion pain, he's just concentrating really hard, as he listens to make sure he's hitting the right notes at the right tempo.

You certainly would not have a goofy smile on your face if you had to perform this difficult piece.

You're right. He isn't in emotional pain. Just have to remember that Mike Oldfield has been battling (and winning, Thank God) depression for years! You're also right about it being a difficult piece to play. That's why I love it so much.
