If you're one of the best in LA, how come no one has heard of you or seen any vids of you playing? You pretty much sound like someone who started out with SFIV, and to call KOF a clone is rather stupid since the series have completely different mechanics.
I don't know what the fightings all about but I'm going to put in my two cents anyway. KoF XII was crap, face it they cut out everything that made KoF a great game and even cut away alot of the characters bread a butter move sets. But with that said I'm still going to buy XIII cause of 2 reasons, King and Mai in that order.
the game looks awesome. one thing i have to nit pick as a game developer, the firt doesn't look good. it is the blackness that makes it look fake. CvS2 style fire would fit the game much more.
Still prefer the old KOF 94-98 where your team members striking the pose watching you and your opponent fight. The rest of the sequels are simply crap!
I don't understand why this is being called Kof13. From what I can see the game has the same art style, and is running on the same engine. I wouldn't call this the next game in the series. They should call it KofXII Final Round, or KofXII Rematch or something like that. I mean when Capcom released SSF4, pretty much doing exactly what SNK is doing, they didn't call it SF5. They called it SSF4. Of course the game itself is the most important thing, I was just wondering why it got the title of XIII
I guess I can see that, since from youtube videos, KoF XI seems to be the most fun out of all the ones I've seen. Of course I can't really judge, since I've only played KoF XII and from what I hear that was the WORST time to jump in the series. Still, it doesn't seem like enough was done to warrant this being called KoFXIII. Oh well.
XII isn't really the worst in terms of gameplay, it is if you expect a complete game.
If you've never never played a KOF title before you should try getting 98UM/02UM/XI or even 2000 which wasn't all that bad. If you really want to learn the kof fundamentals i suggest you start out with 98 which is the best in my opinion. You'll learn to appreciate the characters and the magic that is SNK.
Well I have played as some SNK characters in Capcom vs. SNK 2. I also had Samurai Showdown two on my Neo Geo Pocket. So I do have some characters I like. I like Rock Howard, Galford, and Benimaru.

I think it will not solve all the errors of kof xii. so I still have no animation at the beginning of the fighting and I think they have only one victory animation. I'm sure the characters are missing some attacks. to have mai, yuri, or king. but what about .. K, vanessa, ramon, whip, maxima, blue mary, Takuma, shingo, seth, lin, Hinako, Kasumi, choi, bao ..

You kidding me? Lets not forget Capcom Fighting Evolution, Final Fight Streetwise, and even the Street Fighter EX series didn't do too well and Capcom still kept going. There's more I'm missing I'm sure.
Sometimes after a big loss, you gotta play it safe and earn back the fans trust by going back to old habits, though that won't make an ounce of a differance if they don't get their shit together in the online department.
But by all means, KOF XIII will be a great game...in fact I can guarantee it will be better than both Super SF4 AND MVC3...which is just revealed to be a much easier and shinier version of MVC2, brokeness and all
1.-since sf came out (1987) had no storyline, SNK made AoF and FF and it had storyline at that time...
2.-since sf came out still using "DASH" (making game slower) and KOF letdown "DASH" in 96 to use "RUN" without mention the "dash" that sf still use was a rip offof AoF by SNK...
6.- ryu ken and akuma are basically the same shit, just the color of their hair change (xDDDD)
7.- KOF has more chars, 3 vs 3 mode, KOF is faster, better music, more final bosses not just mainly M. Bison unlike sf, KOF has 4 buttons and even more moves than sf...

SNK never sucked, the quality (and only in some ways) did go down after they went bankrupt, but then again a huge chunk of the original team left so dumb people like you need to give them a fucking break. Wow I really want this come out soon, like the month of May soon, but I'd much rather SNK take the time to not screw this up. I was really looking forward to KOF 12, especially since Blazblue and it were coming out in the same month, needless to say I was more than disappointed with what the reviews were saying about the game. So, I dont care how long it takes, just dont follow up terrible with terrible.
Most of the haters are Capcom fanbois nervous that this game may trump SSF4. I looked at the EX mode and Hyperdrive modes and they look awesome. I still think they should have taken more mechanics from XI, which is among SNK's greatest productions.

KoF XII was crap, face it they cut out everything that made KoF a great game and even cut away alot of the characters bread a butter move sets. But with that said I'm still going to buy XIII cause of 2 reasons, King and Mai in that order.

I don't understand why this is being called Kof13. From what I can see the game has the same art style, and is running on the same engine. I wouldn't call this the next game in the series. They should call it KofXII Final Round, or KofXII Rematch or something like that. I mean when Capcom released SSF4, pretty much doing exactly what SNK is doing, they didn't call it SF5. They called it SSF4. Of course the game itself is the most important thing, I was just wondering why it got the title of XIII

Of course I can't really judge, since I've only played KoF XII and from what I hear that was the WORST time to jump in the series. XII isn't really the worst in terms of gameplay, it is if you expect a complete game.
If you've never never played a KOF title before you should try getting 98UM/02UM/XI or even 2000 which wasn't all that bad. If you really want to learn the kof fundamentals i suggest you start out with 98 which is the best in my opinion. You'll learn to appreciate the characters and the magic that is SNK.

Well I have played as some SNK characters in Capcom vs. SNK 2. I also had Samurai Showdown two on my Neo Geo Pocket. So I do have some characters I like. I like Rock Howard, Galford, and Benimaru.

I think it will not solve all the errors of kof xii. so I still have no animation at the beginning of the fighting and I think they have only one victory animation. I'm sure the characters are missing some attacks. to have mai, yuri, or king. but what about .. K, vanessa, ramon, whip, maxima, blue mary, Takuma, shingo, seth, lin, Hinako, Kasumi, choi, bao ..

I just searched KOFXIII a couple months ago and voila, it's announced! I have been getting anxious. KOF forever. Look at the Kyo combo at 2:29 to 2:33 it almost hit! If he had better timing, he probably would have smoked King. I saw another video w/ Kyo's combos. A awesome preview. Thanks for this video! I'm looking forward to it definitely.

2.-since sf came out still using "DASH" (making game slower) and KOF letdown "DASH" in 96 to use "RUN" without mention the "dash" that sf still use was a rip offof AoF by SNK...

SNK never sucked, the quality (and only in some ways) did go down after they went bankrupt, but then again a huge chunk of the original team left so dumb people like you need to give them a fucking break. Not to mention they have brought us some great characters and the most interesting storyline to date; I still don't know how this one is gonna end!

Wow I really want this come out soon, like the month of May soon, but I'd much rather SNK take the time to not screw this up. I was really looking forward to KOF 12, especially since Blazblue and it were coming out in the same month, needless to say I was more than disappointed with what the reviews were saying about the game. So, I dont care how long it takes, just dont follow up terrible with terrible.
