way to help the cause. this is a fucking joke. people need to get over the fact the world is warming up and stop focusing on the problem. if you didnt spend all that time and money on something stupid it could have gone into a solution. besides the earth is warming up on its own. if you dont know the ice wasnt here a few ten thousand years ago but was created during the ice age. now the planet is warming up to melt it away and return to its normal temperature.

Before commenting, just read more about the "offsets" market. Occidental countries have a limit in their emissions, so they muy some offeset from other countries who are not using all their "emission credits" and keep on polluting.

I know and talked on this very issue with a very informed businessman in the market.

The entire Kyoto agreement is nothing but a wealth transfer vehicle. The offsets were one of the founding ideas. The industrialized nations will not slow their economies to meet Kyoto, so instead they will buy offsets from other countries that won't be using their full quotas.

Therefore, the same amount of pollution is still made, except some money finds its way from the rich countries to the poor.

I certainly hope she doesn't think that this is art because it isn't. Why can't artists just go back to making drawings and paintings?
