  • great stuff eddie - many thanks. Also you should do us a Gordon Ramsay look-a-like masterclass some time!

  • Damn; he does look like Gordon Ramsey doesn't he ?

  • Nice way to practice those paterns! And I didn't know that another scale is used per chord in rock'n'roll, so I really learned an important lesson here!

    Thanks!

  • What's in the bowl? Nuts? From Christmas? I bet they're walnuts - they're always the last to go.

  • No, that's my begging bowl from busking. As you can see it's quite big as i always expect a good turn-out. Mind you its always empty, but i've been told that setting up in my own home is not a good idea.

  • What a great lesson. I'm just starting to learn guitar and this lesson will be a big help.

Thanks for taking the time to post videos and share your skills for the benefit of helping others, it is truly appreciated.

    Best Wishes, Steve.

  • Thanks for the comment. I spent many years trying to work out how to apply scales. This forms the basis of all my solo work for Rockabilly and main stream rock. I always orientate myself around one of the five sub patterns so i know where i am. Then i add additional transition notes depending on the style. I hope that you and others will recognise these fundamental pentatonic patterns in my other videos
