Only 2 way to run multiple operating systems on any comp, first is to partion your hard drive, the other option is to run the other os is simultaneously with your current os as a virtual guest. Linux is my "life saver". Windows (any) sucks!

Reasons:

1. When my windows crashed, I installed my first linux (now Mandriva), then most stable Slackware, some Ubuntu based on laptop and never turn back to Win

2. When my hard died, I went online with Linux Live CDs almost a year!

3. When I collect enough money, upgrade hardware (hdd&ram module), recover my old data with Ubuntu (SuperOS)

3. Just a few hours ago SuperOS Live CD helped to retreive data from friend's damaged external hard drive.

@prestb actualy i just had ubuntu 11.4 installed and it runns quite well usualy it runns kinda crappy but this time they did a verry good job it can install alongside your windows os try it out sometime im actualy going to stick with ubuntu now :P i would recomend haveing 2gb of memory tho but their minimal requierment is 1gb

@NEroticRave I got 6gb of memory, and no doubt a big enough Harddrive. I'll just stick with Windows 7 for now, seems to run alright. Windows Vista seems to crap out after like 3 or 4 years, Windows 7 keeps running fresh for awhile depending on your PC.

@rmemdpb Linux isn't great... especially for gamers like my self. It can't run half the games that Windows can. Mac is also not good with games, but one thing that I never said was it sucked with editing, movies, etc. Because it doesn't, Windows does. I guess I should've stated I was a gamer... that way, those 'opinions' would make more sense. Plus, don't be treating me as if I don't know how to use Google. Mac sucks- for it's rip-off prices unless you make a lot of videos, which I don't.
