Ford Taurus vs. Acura RL - Sound Insulation Test

This is a ridiculous test. The Acura uses mics + noise cancelling using the stereo system, they did this so they didn't have to burden the car with heavy sound insulation materials like the Ford. There's vastly more thought put into the Acura than just "throw more sound deadening materials in a bunch of areas" like with the Ford. Road-noise is made up of a bunch of factors including how the car handles vibrations in the road. Unless you drive next to jetcars frequently this test is a joke.

It seems that they were trying to find something were the Ford would be better than the acura, I guess this is the only thing that they could find, :P, really there is no comparison, ACURA is way much better

Biased test. in ten years the Acura will be running around fresh as a daisy the Ford in ten years will be lying in a scrap yard. Thats the reality, most people would not be able to tell a difference here as most of them would have their radio or stereo on. Honda/Acura all day long for me.
