  • What a truly nice & gifted man.He gave so many people such enjoyment over a lengthy career. He did this without offending people too which these days seems impossible.

He will be missed by many!

  • @BloodyNicePoeple you have a great dad, there's too much sex and violence injected into modern humour to get cheap laughs. Norman Wisdom brought charm, humbleness and comedy into the lives of millions upon millions and he should be remembered. Sadly his own father gave him such sad memories but I believe he got the love back through his fans

  • sir norman wisdom i have a box set of all his films he was truly a legend the will never be anyone like norman rest in peace norman your work is dond may you find eternal rest R.I.P

  • Lee Evans needs to play him in a film of his life before Evans gets any older...

  • @OnlyFoolsAndHorsesHQ I think Robbie Williams is the spitting image of the early Norman Wisdom, but I agree Norman needs to be remembered for eternity, such a beautiful man and a man I would dearly have loved to have met

  • i'm going to miss him, i just purchased his boxset movies i'm going to watch those great memories he gave us all. RIP Norman.

  • REST IN PEACE SIR NORMAN WISDOM.1915-2010.

  • Rest in Peace... Sir Norman

  • God Bless Sir Norman Wisdom and thanks to Norman for giving a life of laffs ....and being a Gent.....

  • He was also a gentleman of the highest order. I met Norman in the early fifties in Birmingham, England and at that time was playing pantomime in Cinderella. Later when he had made it to the big time, whenever he came back to Birmingham, he still stayed in the very modest lodgings saying that his landlady "cooked the best meals" and he saw no reason to be locked up in the 'swanky' hotels.

  • I temper my grief of losing such a funny man with the fact that he did have a long and happy life. He was such a talented guy.

I was introduced to his movies over 35 years ago, during late night movies on a Toronto channel, CFTO channel 9, watching "Just My Luck". I laughed myself silly, and got a stomach ache watching him! Sadly, they don't show his movies anymore. I did ask CHCH Channel 11 in Hamilton to show them, as they do the old movies, so here's hoping!

    Rest In Peace Sir Norman.

  • I lost my father in July and feel for his son and daughter , how proud they must be, remember this, people only die if you forget them. Norman will NEVER die. heartfelt throughts x Anna

  • Thanks to Norman for giving a life of laffs.. and being a gent..

  • A LEGEND of comedy , he will be sadly missed. There will be no more " TROUBLE IN STORE" for good old NORM. Today's comedians couldn't hold a torch to him. R.I.P. Sir NORMAN
