I used a program called Spark to open the IMG file, and used it to replace the TXD and DFF ones with other ones made by other people. I didn't actually edit the TXD and DFF files myself, so I really don't know how to create my own mod.

Firstly, the game is modded (and I made one of the mods). The game is for the PC. The rest of what you want to know, and more, is in the video description.

No worries. ^^

It's a modification; the game's program files have been edited so as to change things in-game. Here, the player model/texture (visual appearance) has been changed (I didn't make this mod, just applied it), and the player sounds have been changed by me. There's also a trainer (program which modifies the memory which a game is using while it's running to change things in realtime) in use here - e.g. the gravity isn't normally this low, and I suddenly get a flamethrower at one point.

No - unless you want to edit the sounds yourself, or unless you have already modified some sounds, you won't need SAAT to get my sound mod to work. In that case it's simply a matter of renaming 2 files in your GTA-SA installation, and then copy/pasting 2 files included in the voice mod download. There's an info.txt file included which explains more. ;)

This game is the PC version, so, although exporting and importing sounds from the archive does need a bit of care, as long as you get that right then the game should load the WAVs from the modded archive (the archive is still in the same directory) as always. =)

There are many mods apart from her, and not only Touhou ones either. Note that it is still a little disturbing because they only change the visual appearance - the voice is still the usual male voice. I'm making my own mod to change the voice - an in-progress version can be noticed in this video.

is there a faster way to replace sound files than importing them through cp for every sound? cant i just drag and drop if the length/type/name is correct? basically if i use okami's index... cant i just rename them and drop them into their correct folder?

I don't know what you mean by "cp", but I'm using a program called "SAAT" ("San Andreas Audio Toolkit").

I use it to extract a sound archive. Then I replace each extracted sound with one of the equivalent sample rate. Finally, I use SAAT again to re-import the folder which it originally exported (but now contains replaced sounds). You should be able to find SAAT with a quick Google search. It's command-line driven, but comes with a manual with examples on extracting/importing.

It's a freeware (and open-source) pair of tools called "SAAT" ("San Andreas Audio Toolkit") which are run from the command-line. You should be able to find it with a quick Google search.

You can also download my voice mod as it is in the video though, with easy installation instructions - just check the link in the video description. ;)

It's funny you mention flying... because there is a cheat on GTA to make all cars fly - the GTA-equivalent of the usual Touhou characters' capabilities. xD

I didn't create the Reimu model (visual appearance). I did create the sound mod, though.

You can check the earliest page of comments on this video for getting the model. You will also need a program called Spark to edit IMG files for GTA. You might want to look for a character-select mod too... basically, Google is your friend. ;)

Heh - yep, it is a game, but it's modded. (Check the video description for more info.)

Also the mod for the main player only works during the 'freeplay' time when you're outside, i.e. not during cutscenes or when you're in buildings.

The changed character is a mod not made by me, the changed voice is a mod I'm making. The cheats used are explode all cars (CPKTNWT), jump higher (LFGMHAL) and give the 'nutter' weapon set (UZUMYMW). ;)

I'm also thinking of modding it so that it says 'Hax Sign' (t3hkirbz0rz made that up) or something instead of 'Cheat activated', heh... but I haven't done any texture mods yet, I'm not sure how hard it'll be.
