That couldn't be more malamute than it is. I also have a red malamute puppy, about the same age as this one and the similarity is huge! Definatelly a malamute.

I have an Alaskan Malamute, and the AKC does state; "The usual colors range from light gray through intermediate shadings to black, sable, and shadings of sable to red." If you dont know what your talking about, then dont say anything at all.

it's not a pure bred malamute. May not even have a drop of malamute blood. The ears should be shorter and rounded.

Out of concerns of activist I've always stated my husky-wolf hybred was part malamute. Since he obviously wasn't a pure bred husky.

I see strong similarites.

Looks like a mix with some German Shepherd in it. More Husky-Shepherd mix. Ears are too large for a Malamute, too, I think.

some mals look like huskies, some more like wolves. i really like the big ones it takes all my might to roughhouse with them and people are always amazed that a dog can get that big. and they're about as gentle as they are strong and smart and emotional.... . . .big babies
