Honestly speaking (and composing music myself) , I was already a bit *wondering* myself how it was possible that a fair amount of Sash! songs have such good melodylines and chord progressions, while the other mainly consist of some simple beat patterns and such amateuristic melodies. If they in fact 'borrowed' more from artists, it would totally explain *why* some of the songs on the album so ...well......crap?
I'm pretty sure sash!'s song is ' inspired' , at least, on the other track. The "melody' that is played on both chords is....well not highly uncommon, but quite incommon in this genre of music. Combined with the amount and path of chords I would say they are too identical to claim they're just invented serperately.
heathboy22,,, what a cock you are. "WHO cares" ??? So you would rather a multi millionare benefits from some struggling musicians hard work and song writing? So "the part where there are no words are all done by hand??? That's amazing, it must have been Sash that wrote it then, cause if it was KALEID HE WOULD HAVE PLAYED THAT PART WITH HIS DICK.You are a cock of the highest degree.
WHo cares if he stole the song. Sash's version is much better. Plus the part where there are no words is all done by hand. So he didnt steal it. Check out a video of him at Rantarock playing it.
hardly anybody knows about the original!! im afraid sash is a rip off lol b i have to be a commercialised bitch and say i liked sash's version as it had the vocals. maybe if sash could have given some recoginition or money from sales it would have been notable of him but he never. i dont think the original would have like the fake ass copy!
these two tunes are way too close to NOT be copied. from the melody to the drumming reaching a crescendo at the same part of the tune. COME OF IT. These people have stolen 95% of this song from KALEID. Is it just a coincidence that this song by KALEID was released on a free CD by the future music magazine a couple of months BEFORE the SASH version came out.Another example of the big guy pissing on the little guy.I still prefer KALEIDS version. Hope you are still writing great tracks Andy.
I love Kaleid. Me and my bro used to stay in contact with them until they went their seperate ways. As far as the song is concerned, They don't sound the same, maybe cause i don't have skills in picking apart the songs. The only thing I can tell is the same is the beat, but you cant copyright a beat I hear. Sorry Kaleid, i'm gonna have to rule this in slash's favor.
