And you don't have to take the ASVAB and score a 70 or higher. You only have to take the ASTB. If they made you take the ASVAB at the recruiting office, they were probably just seeing if you were wasting their time.

Why are they focusing on Puerto Ricians? I was in that program and I'm from FL/AL. It's not that hard to get into, and there are tons of officers that went through that program. So why are they only using these 2 people from the same place that's not part of the country? Lame...
not lame...PuertoRico is as part of the US as any other state, the only difference is that its isnt part of the union and the reason why its because they come from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez which produces some of the finest engineers in the US. A lot of NASA's highest ranking engineers are poeple that came from that University.
To be honest with you, I feel you are jelous somehow, us Puerto Ricans have our rights and our place in the military, we hace written history in the bloodiest and famous wars of the US History. i am an Infantry soldier, for the ARNG, and proud to be an Army ROTC cadet, in the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus. If you an officer already, you should practice your military values and have a little more Officership.
What they don't tell you is that you have to score a 70 or better on your ASVAB to do that program. and you have to demand a recuiter to take the officers avab to even to apply to that program. Way to go Navy. I don't have alot of nice things to say about you from my personal experince when I was enlisted but you need to fully explain how these things can be achieved and the requirements to even apply.
why do they keep saying "BDCP Program?" guys the "P" in "BDCP" stand for program. You're a little redundant you are.

A territory isn't state. So it isn't anything close to being "the same thing".

See! Even if you're a Mexican you can become an officer in the US Navy! That's the American dream right there!
saxquiz 3 years ago
He's Hispanic. He wasn't born nor does he reside in Mexico. So therefore he is not a Mexican.
