  • Please, imagine how old they are!!! They're playin' the youth into the ground ;)

  • After I saw them a long time ago, I wanted to be in the horn section of a band like this!! Bought a sax but never was able to play it like this!

  • I tell u what! I saw them last year in New Orleans at the House of Blues they were great...But last night They BROUGHT it they were awesome ! 40th anniversary this year....The Tower of Power Rocked the House of Blues last night!...Best place and the best band ever.......

  • Great

  • Okay, who snuck in the beta-cam? This looks and sounds like it was recorded in 1981 instead of 1991.

  • Our west coast promoter, Brian Martin put James Brown and Tower of Power together for a show in L.A. One of my favorite shows!

If anybody has any footage of that, please share!

I miss singing background for JB...what a ride!

  • B-b-b-b-b-b-b-BLUES.

  • they all so damn tight!!!!!

  • Emilio is freaking hot. Thats all I need to say.

  • come SEE US @ San Mateo County Far 6-16 & 17 Tickets @ door $10.00 Fair fee,but get there early as there is a limit...even though the indoor facility is huge! They only allow 1,000? people..Fire dept. so they say!

  • Ok, sorry, man! I think I missed something about your text. You kind of agreeing with the same idea I wrote there: Age doesn't matter... So, there's not reason to fight here... period!

    Peace, my friend!

  • @marceloscaffmarq REALLY!

  • listen CRAZY FUNKY by minicillo

  • lol!? wtf!!

  • @tgeer123 your retarded

  • no. if you want funk listen to tower of power!

  • i could totally orgasm to this song

  • saw them last sunday night at the house of blues in new orleans....damn amazing best band ever! tightest..coolest...talent EVERYWHERE!!!

  • Nice.....

  • Saw them in Harvard Sq. Cambridge,MA 1971....You Tube is great....THANKS

  • SUCH AN AWESOME SONG TO DANCE TO :D

  • helll yeah! just saw them last night! so funky

  • Stephen Kupka still is the man! Hahahaha....Amy Winehouse integrated much of his sound into her music.

  • These guys always have and always will be the masters of funky soul!!! Dig on it!!!!

  • but back when it got started, there was this righteous sound (bop bop) bari sax is musical orgasm

  • I went to see ToP with David Sanborn a week or two ago (separate sets ='( ) this was easily one of the best songs they played

  • Any guitarist know some of theese chords?

  • its basically just a blues... im sure you can work out what key if you listen to it with your guitar with you

  • someone know where i can get the hole concert?

  • yeah!!! :))))))))))

  • I wonder if Rocco is still in the group-he was part of the horn section. If he is- bless his heart-he's got to be pretty old at this point. Mind you-- I fully realize that age has nothing to do with talent.

  • Francis "Rocco" Prestia is the bass player, and one of the greats of all time. He has gone through some serious health challenges, but he's still killing it with these guys - after 41 years on the road.

  • I wouldn't say age has anything to do with talent, except that after a certain age you may still have talent, just won't be able to utilize it as easily as if you were younger.

  • SnizzFizz, i can't agree with you... I know a lot of artists and they only got better after "certain age"... Did you ever hear about "Buena Vista Social Club"? You're able to find them on Youtube...

  • So what you're saying is that bands get better when they practice, right? That's pretty much obvious, but the point I'm making is that age is unrelated to talent in that there can be 17 year old guitar prodigies who are just as talented as 35 year old guitarists; their age doesn't have anything to do with how talented they are, they're simply talented. And really, if it takes you more than 15 years to make a song not even noticeably different to its fans, you need to practice

  • Ok, sorry, man! I guess I missed something about your text. You kind of agreeing with the same idea I wrote there: Age doesn't matter... So, there's not reason to fight here... period!

    Peace, my friend!

  • The Reason for this hornpower is the keyboarder ;) A Small secret.. if you look on him at the live concerts you see how he Plays exactly the same as the hornsection with a brass Sound with his second hand (on one hand the normal keyboard sounds)

  • no u fail

  • u will hardly find a band where the horn is section is powerful as this band, with 4 to 5 of them they sound like 15 or 20

  • Best live band in the business, period. The new DVD is excellent... both video and sound quality is superb. They are moving onto their 40th year of touring. Very few acts can make that claim these days.
