I've found out the hard way that there is a consequence for this.

It messes up your wi-fi connection. For some, only for a little while- for others- like me- many days, or what SEEMS like permanently.

If I were you, I'd do it once to get at least 80k, then make money trees- because after the 2nd time, things went very wrong for my wi-fi- I haven't been able to go to a friend's town for several days. Forgive me if this was said somewhere in the vid xD

but i just learned 3 days ago that you should duplicate crowns instead. you'll get way more money, that you won't be able to hold all the money you get from selling crowns you'll have to make like 2 trips to the bank if you sell a pocket full of duplicated crowns. but this works too.

No reset does not screw your game save data or anything else if you do this duplication "Glitch". But make sure that you don't drop your favored items in your friends town, your liable to only pick up the bells and forget your other items so leave 'em in your town before performing this "Glitch".
