  • omg you have alot of expensive fishes

  • Great tank. Take a look at my seahorse video.

  • thanks for good information im bout to go and look itup and one more question

    wat do they eat?

  • @FREAKYLOSO18 h. Erectus will eat frozen Mycid shrimp (if you can get it live even better) Don't let any one talk you into feeding them brine shrimp as there is NO nutritional value in them and the Seahorses will die of malnutrition. Make sure you read extensively on the subject and DO NOT ATTEMPT if you have never keep a marine tank before and the should NOT be kept in a tank less then 55 gal. Good luck.

  • @nelg85 where did you buy those seahorse from

  • @FREAKYLOSO18 islandmarinelife on ebay is a friend of mine who has a permit to collect in the Florida Keys. he also has a website if you put a .com after it. (you tube won't let me post the actual site) There are several reputable breeders here as well. these little guys are h. Erectus. they have great personality.

  • can you use this sand for a piranha tank?

  • @iflip003 I would not recomend.

  • Your aquarium is beautiful, and I love it. You know everything about this I can tell, and that is amazing. Keep up the wonderful work!

  • its a seaWEED

  • would you recommend a skimmer or a filter for a seahorse tank

  • @MrReefguy I never found a need for a skimmer. Regular water changes, live rock seem to work out fine. Believe it of not, I use two hang-on-the-back filters. Penguin Emporer 400 bio-wheels. They clean the water very well and keep the flow to a minimum. Many things different then my reef tank. Peace.

  • @nelg85 you need more liverock and hiding places!otherwise nice tank! :) / :(

  • @ncharrison I have sense added about three times the live rock. They love to hide in it and play "tag". Thanks for the kind words.

  • @nelg85 dude theres no rock and almost no plants for your sea horses!i feel sorry for them!! :(

  • I'd love the info to your friends' site! Thanks so much :)

  • @mothglitter Tried to reply before and site wouldn't let me. Won't let me post site for some reason.

  • looking good man check out my seahorse if you get a chance keep up the great work

  • Good Evening! I Love your Seahorse tank. Where did you get your sponges and do you know where I can get some nice size female seahorses? Beautiful tank with alot of hitching post for the horses. Have a nice evening!!

  • Are those brine flying around your tank?

  • @dasadler123 Yes. Every now and then I give them a "treat" of brine shrimp. They get frozen mysid on a regular basis.

  • nice tank. It looks a little sparse now, but with the new shoots, live rock etc it will look AMAZING when its been up for a while :)

  • I don't know how easy it is to own sea-horses, but those are pretty amazing pictures. Must be cool to have sea-horses in your house. Maybe I will research them more, I am interested now!

  • wow, you must be doing something right?

    very nice

  • Thank you. Just water changes and keep the filters clean and the tank takes care of itself. The seahorses are great and full personally. They love to play with you when you clean the tank.

  • /those need salt water or they can live in a regular tank?????

  • Yes. They are salt water fish. Require a Specific Gravity of about 1.026 and a temperature in the 73-78 degree range.
