  • sssshhhhhhhhhh

  • Truly AMAZING!!!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Just to update - I had to scroll though 330 comments to find this out - this was the 1989 Paris Open semi-final between Stefan Edberg and Aaron Krickstein, played on carpet. Edberg won 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, but lost to Boris Becker in the final.

  • Not the greatest, just a very long one

  • "Oh that was just a point" LOL

  • i'm a bit confused as to why 'hiv' is in the tags

  • @heithyardley Yeah... and God, Kylie Minouge

and Goat have been thrown in there for some reason?...

  • @pancakeing Id like to see a video which featured all those tagged items. Some kind of tag team tennis match set in a church featuring an HIV infected goat perhaps

  • "YAAAA...SHHHH" ........... "YAAAA...SHHHH"

  • b/c the camera lens is a wide angle. really takes a genius to figure that one out

  • Too bad the ball is pretty much invisible...

  • y is the court so big

  • 'that was just a point' obviously -.-

  • Brilliant

  • GOOD GAME

  • Which pixel was the ball?

  • If i could see the ball, i might have been impressed

  • chode court

  • @badabingbangboom I love th Ronseal reference

  • are there snakes in the crowd?

  • @jahnny29 lovely maaaan !!!! :D lmao

  • tags: goat britney kylie minogue justin timberlake god church hiv? lol you're desperate for views aren't you...those 12 dislikes must have come from britney & kyline pop fans I bet ;)

  • holy crap

  • what a point both players played

  • Lol back then the crowd was so polite!

  • shhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • hey! i really wish i could c the ball

  • "oooh.."

    "shhh!"

    "oooooh.."

    "SHHH!"

  • He totally just planked

  • Title is not exaggerated a bit!

  • Who's playing in this video?

  • SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • the crowd goes woaaaaaaaaaah

    SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • the guy who did all the overheads could of ended the point a lot sooner if he didnt hit them right at the other guy

  • that's a really wide court...

  • @deetaa791 i think its just the camera, no professional would ever consent to playing on a court as wide as that looks :P

  • credit to both player´s effort´s, but edberg was particularly great on defense..

  • They were playing inside a snakepit, I remember.

    Sssssshhh!

  • This court looks like a chode.

  • tags: "hiv god pray church"? lol

  • hey @dexterhaven49 your one of the eleven idiots who voted down

I bet you can't even hit the ball once, and if you don't like the video or the title then why do you watch it DUMBASS!

  • SHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • At first I was like meh, then I was like HOLY SHIT

  • jesus

  • Tennis was more interesting earlier. Today, if you don't serve well, you can't even get in the Top200.

  • Stupid video description. Don't comment on the title like an idiot. Say the date of the match, the name of the event, and the names of players. You tag words are non sequiturs for the video content too. So many braindead fools like you put up videos on YouTube! Think, dummy!

  • @DexterHaven49 Quit hatin

  • You are officially biwinning

  • that court seems wider than usual..

  • @bigbluefungus no kidding

  • I miss these days of tennis when it was mostly about touch and before the extreme amount of topspin and power the players hit nowadays due mostly to the strings.

  • Edberg was a fantastic athlete.

  • I like how when all the people in the crowd thinks its over they start making noise then everyone starts going like SSSHHHHH when they realize it isnt over

  • SHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Men's tennis in that specific period was just plain awesome>>>>>>>>BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!

Check out this line-up for year 1990>>>>

BECKER, EDBERG, AGASSI, LENDL, MAC, SAMPRAS, CHANG, WILANDER, COURIER, CONNORS, IVANISEVIC, STICH, YANNICK NOAH, BRAD GILBERT, MILOSLAF MECIR, HENRI LACONTE, TIM MAYOTTE, ETC... THOSE WERE THE DAYS>>>>

  • what a player... edberg for pope!

  • i just love Edberg.he is my favorite of all time

  • And to think that Edberg had to cover a court that was twice the regular width of a regulation size tennis court!!

  • incrivel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks like Edberg inspired Nadal too with these chase-downs, awesome anticipation of the opponent's next move too !

  • ahahahhaa I love the shsing

  • Edberg--- what an animal.

  • holy shit !

  • the court seem extremely wide!

  • @receipt22 - I guess it's because of the angle of the camera ... I remember when I was younger, tennis courts really seemed wider in some specific tournaments

  • great

  • Superb!

  • Stefan Edberg was great.

  • sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtt

  • ssshhhhhhh

  • wow that was awsome

    no body can do it

  • Comment removed

  • sshhhhh LOL

  • usain bolt with tennisracket

  • lol, everyone in the crowd: ssssshhhh

  • Marvelous!!!

  • HOLY SHIT. AH-MAZING

  • SSHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Ya Edberg was always a beast on wheels....he could get almost anything.

  • @InterpolFL Yeah, like a Golden Retriever xD

  • wasnt Connors stillplaying back then?!?!? I love the competition back then....bit overpowered at the moment....

    This is awesome.....wtg Stephan

  • That is such a glorious rally. Edberg was always my hero.

  • Andy Murray created 9 accounts and voted down

  • @DestroyerAlexandros LOOOOOOOOL. Like, seriously. Not just saying that :P

  • @DestroyerAlexandros why murray

  • @bamibalboy was thinking the exact same thing?!

  • Jaw hit the floor.

  • Watching this, it is of no surprise that Stefan Edberg was Roger Federer's greatest inspiration.

  • Stefan Edberg was Federer's 2ND inspiration. It went Boris Becker THAN Stefan Edberg@TearTheRoofOff

  • @lionhunter43 Oh for sure, they were both great inspirations to him - I just picked Edberg as his biggest, although I knew Becker was a huge one, and perhaps before. It's just a couple of weeks ago Federer practiced with Edberg so there was a big talk about him being his big influence at the time. :)

  • the court is all small and shit wtf

  • The other player is Aaron krickstein from USA

  • shhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVED his play - so "lyrical" almost.... spectacular! Nobody plays with the grace of Stefan Edberg anymore. The consummate gentleman. And handsome as heck too!!!

And yes he could crush the modern female players. He is after all, a MAN. A very fit man with upper arm strength that those women however great, cannot match. That's why men and women don't play against each other competitively. duh.

  • I remember this point , Stefanw as great!!

  • who was the other player?

  • JU Edberg :D

  • lol, i love the crowd reactions...... "ohhhh", "shhhhhhh", "ohhhh", "sshhhhh"

  • hhaahahaha

this IS the best tennis point ever

how come ive never seen this one before

    great!

    thxnx

  • Edberg won this point simply because he read his opponent so well.Had he rushed to the wrong side, he wouldn't have made 90% percent of these return shots(smashes being obvious examples).Just amazing stuff.

  • Lol the commentator : "that was just a point..." and searches for a suitable adjective but can't find it

  • "kylie minogue gives justin timberlake tennis lessons from federer. Sampras gives HIV to britney spears." search that and you'll get this vid

  • not really much to say... awesome

  • there's no net players like Edberg these days because with new technological racket, it's more easy to play passing shot. And simply hardly anyone like to dive when volleying balls out of their normal reach.

  • i thought those were women

  • srsly? have kylie minoque in ur tags? wtf?

  • Those ballboys had to have been sweating to death. lol

  • OOOOOOOOOshhhhhhhhOOOOOOOshhhhhhhhOOOOOOOOshhhhhhh...

  • lmao this was amazing i love when the audience gets involved with the OHHH and AHHH haha

  • krickstein and edberg had played just 2 weeks earlier in tokyo and krickstein won that and then won the final against carl uwe steeb 6-2,6-2 then 2 weeks later they meet in the semifinals again here in the paris indoors but this time edberg gets revenge, edberg lost in the final though to becker.

  • I especially like the Dive at the end

  • Just... WOW!!

  • haha I love how someone is saying "SHHHH" everytime the audience is making any noice rofl

    what a prick

  • @Rooflcoopter lol, i wonder who this was...^^

  • wowahhhhhhhhhh

    that was crazy!

  • that was just a point????

  • I don't know if it's the camera, but the court seems wider rather than longer.... And I can't see the ball half the time they're hitting it and that was an amazing point......

  • fantastic indeed

  • only a point was not worth all the effort he put in, but for the show i guess it was :P

  • graetpoint

    but nottheebst ever sory

  • I can't see shit!

  • Wow that man was running really fast!

  • hmmmmm.... nice:D

  • Aaron Krickstein had an awesome forehand and reached no 6 in the world from memory. He always seemed to be dealing with injuries, although he did manage 2 grand slam singles semi finals.

  • AMAZING- THATS TRUE DEDICATION

  • HOLY CRAP!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!

  • Edberg could beat Federer for sure on old grass

  • crazy man thats crazy

  • Fantastic Stefan ! For Ever I love your game.

  • so they used to go shhhh when the crowd got amazed? i wished it was like that today!!

  • magic point!

  • thats true heart right there and determination

  • wat the fuk who was playing and what tourmanent was it? bloddy good point

  • It was Stefan Edberg versus Aaron Krickstein. I don't know the tournament, but judging from the sponsors it was probably the Paris Indoors.

  • fucking tank

  • Helt underbar poäng. Otroligt fotarbete, Stefan :-)

  • Wow what an effort!

  • ALL of that for ONE fuckin' point. He deserved EVERY inch of it!

  • that is truly amazing

  • I was smiling the entire point.

    And you?

  • okok it was the best point. but the best shot was the "agassi magic" here on you tube

  • Edberg was a true champion

  • Jajaj.

"I'm not surprised I would think he should stay there for about half an hour! He ran miles."

  • are they shushing in the background?

  • wow, just great!

  • paramedic ball boy

    great idea

  • wow

  • yea. a great point

  • lol whats up with the triple wows bellow ? WOW

  • wow!!

  • I was waiting for Edberg to attack the net! Great play.

  • the only reason edberg came in was cause of the drop shot, which i caqnt blame krickstein for hitting since he was slamming the ball and edberg was still getting it back.

  • unbelievable

  • wow!

  • wow!!

  • wow!!!

  • dodododa, you obviously are quite clueless about tennis... this is edberg and krickstein running these balls down on (what looks to be) a pretty fast indoor court... they not only would crush a 'modern female player' then they would do the same right now at nearly 40 years old each... look up karsten braasch... he's (at the time) a chain smoking tennis player ranked 200+ in the world, he played 18 holes of golf and downed a 12 pack of beer before dismantling serena and venus with ease...

  • could he have smoked a blunt too?

  • Wow, quiet 1234 isn't so quiet anymore. I'd bet I can see the person who raised this kid at peopleofwalmart.

Even the Williams' hitting partners can beat them w/ ease.

"Against anyone in top 500, no chance, because I was playing like 600 today." "I took at least 50 per cent off my serve," "I came out with a few hard ones, but not too much because then it's not fun anymore and it was supposed to be fun." -Braasch

  • @mfreemanflynn interesting, it just shows how much better than mens game is. BTW do you know what type of court it is or when this match was? the court makes a weird sound.
