it is possible to get the Skill Book in vault 108, u just have to use a buncha frag mines around ladder adn shoot them from distance. but of course it takes many trys.

I'm a bit confused about the book you get at 1:44. You opened up a very hard door to get to it, but don't all very hard doors require 100 lock picking? By the time you have 100 lock picking you don't really need the book anymore. How do you get to the book without using that door?

It seems I have been given this crude task only because of a bug. I have almost completed the Galaxy News Radio quest but when I must return to Three Dog, the buzzer says "Door's open, quit buzzing me, will ya?". The only way to get in is by picking the 100 skill lock on the balcony.

Now, I COULD get a bobblehead and I COULD get a lot of books for this but it seems I can't get to 100 anyway even using Comprehension. I have 50. Quite a number of books require the skill of 100 to find. HELP! =(

@Henkibojj take them all get the bobblehead then try to invest in them every time you gain a level if that doesn't work take some mentats and try to get clothes that increase your intelligence.

@Arthurmax180 Thanks, I've done that for quite some time now and I'm finally on 100 using Night Person (PER+2), some Shady Hat (PER+1), a lot of books (with Comprehension Perk) and a Bobblehead, plus of course a few invested points from level ups. But it was extremely agonizing to start this quest being only on level 8 or so. Now I'm somewhere around 14 and I had to pause the whole storyline for two months just because of this.

Great videoguides though, they helped a lot. :)

Yes, you NEED to take the Comprehension perk as soon as possible, at Level 4.

No, the SKILL Bobbleheads give you an additional 10 points, the SPECIALs Bobbleheads (STR, PER, END, CHAR, INT, AGL, LCK) give 1 point.

Yeah, Orc is right. I said all 25 books gives 50 pts. (w/ Comprehension Perk).

You just need to get a MINIMUM of 50 pts. by leveling (I HIGHLY recommend 56-60 since some skills have less than 25).

I'm confused about where you got the 85 tho... explain?

You read the Skill books AFTER you take the Comprehension Perk.

Focus on collecting the books and AFTER you take the perk, THEN read the books...then you'll get 2 points per book instead of one. It's worth it.

There's 13 I believe...

Barter, Energy Weapons, Lockpick, Science, Big Guns, Small Guns, Sneak, Unarmed, Melee Weapons, Speech, Medicine, and Explosives.

There's 12-13...definitely more than 5 that's for sure.

Check you Pip-Boy, go to STATS, and then SKILLS. They're all listed there.

you just find it in a random encounter. you hear explosions in the sky and it just falls to earth with a limited supply of ammo somewhere in the area. i found mine near the super duper mart.

The Firelance itself can be sometimes very difficult to find. It blends in the ground so well that it hard to spot. Go search it again, its not going to disappear. Only if some Raider or other NPC picks it up, but then again u can get it from that NPC when u kill him/her.

Yes, I use console commands to make recording these videos easier and faster. I need low level so I havent picked up any books yet, but I need high skill points, SPECIALs and all mapmarkers so I can go straight to the point in these Skill Books videos, without having any problems during recording sessions.

U dont have to pick the lock. U can enter the room from other direction. Simply enter the room on the other side of that hallway (where those 2 Protectrons are) and circle around from right to enter that room...

Please help if I complete all 25 Lockpick skill books do I get extra 50 skill point on Locklpick? If so I only add Lockpick skills until 24 and I can get 1 by bobblehead and 25 from books and 50 by completing all 25 books so that is 100%. Please let me know if it is right or not?

You can 10 additional points from collecting the Lockpick Bobblehead...

So, you only need to get to 90 just by collecting the Skill Books and then collect the Bobblehead.

90 + 10=100

And yes, if you start at 50, (with Comprehension Perk ONLY), and collect ALL 25 (if it's 24 it won't work, has to be 25) you will get to 100 (without the Bobblehead).

25 x 2=50 (2 pts per book)

50 + 50=100
