  • copycats...if they want their own anime...draw it in some other style this looks so japanese...anyone who sees this will think its japanese

  • @OutInTheWild194:

That's kind of the idea: they want to imitate the Japanese style of anime, because that's what works best for now. People notice.

Personally, I would prefer if they came up with their own original style, though that would be an immense hurdle for them to overcome. Current anime fans can be very picky about what they like.

In the end, if the Koreans can make an original visual style stick, more power to them. They settled for copying anime, for now.

  • AYE, IMPRESSIVE.

  • @mabuhayguy:

    The trailer certainly looks impressive!

  • this resembles a Japanese animated cartoon.

    but the picture is clean.

  • @skymadder:

    I agree.

  • wow *O*

  • Wow!! this is my first to view this video.. looks like there's a big competition between japan and korea..

  • this is korean aenimeisyeon not anime shit

  • @TomoexNanami

    ON YouTube

  • true this movie was breath-taking but still can't compare with Studio Ghibli's movies and Mamoru Oshii's Ghost In The Shell.

  • @tsukasa1608:

Personally, nowadays, I just consider myself an "anime fan" in general, regardless of where it, or from whom it originally comes from. As long as it's good & I enjoy it, then no worries for me.

  • hmm...not really, japanese anime were much more complicate than most of the animation in this world for example ghost in the shell, those cute and simple most of them were TV anime which i not very like...anyway this movie was breath-taking but still can't compare with Mamoru Oshii's The Sky Crawlers.

  • @Interactivedesignz:

If you want to buy the DVD/Blu-Ray, you can try places like Amazon.Com.

  • i like how korean anime mixes 2d with 3d. korean anime style is much more realistic and cool! while japanese anime is cute and simply. i see the difference now. i want to watch this!!!! looks good!! im starting to like korean anime <333

  • @TomoexNanami:

Interesting observations about the differences between Korean & Japanese Anime.

I never thought about those differences in those terms, until now.

  • ..yea i want to watch korean anime now. -__- . ive watced japanese anime for too long.. i want somethin new! korean people make good dramas soo i bet they make good anime too =DD

  • Wow Good~!

  • @thatgraymoon:

The false claim that "Sky Blue/Wonderful Days" Anime, somehow had it's origins in North Korea?

I know: that's what I was wondering about that nonsense myself.....I still never got any reply on the issue....

  • Very impressive! It's interesting how the Korean animations blends 3d and 2d a lot...

  • @wc1hater yea i know! i love that! its really cool and futuristic

  • i am sure if u watch anime (japanese ) u can see the general difference between Korean animation style and Japanese animation style.

  • Korea is actually the worlds most technological country. Most cartoon scripts, that air in America, comes from Korea. And Korea was the first to find photoshop. Including the world's fastest internet. They're digital pc games are also beating. (But right now China is winnning actually)

  • It's true the Korean wave is killing Japanese music, animes, dramas etc. geez

  • @xoxo2shy:

More competition between Japanese & Korean Anime Studios should hopefully mean better quality anime for the fans in the end who buy/rent/watch them.

  • @VideoQuestEx true <3

  • @xoxo2shy i dont think so, thing come become popular and make way for new things of the same or similar style. Japan has had its fame for animation now its koreas turn, but u know korean and japanese cartooning is differnet MAnga and manhwa are usually quite different with korean style looking more human like and less cartoonish than japans manga but again saying that it does depend on the artist and thier personal style. this is comming frm a read of manga and manhwa and a lover of anime :)

  • @xoxo2shy yeah but i don't think it will ever have a chance competing against japan in animes. They've gone for years making it a part of their culture, plus tons of manga's. This is Japan's thing, i thnk the whole world knows that.

  • @anime0pop: It's true that the Japanese have had a huge head-start in the Anime & Manga business, for decades.

I pretty much welcome any competition by the Korean animators. We, the fans, benefit from the quality content, either country provides, no matter if Japan or Korea, wins the entertainment race.

  • @VideoQuestEx So true. But i'v seen trailers for Korean Drama's and it might sound superficial to say but i like/am used to the look of japanese animes/ I feel that the Korean animes such as this have much computer shots too. I know both probably do but i like seeing more of the cartoon. Plus i think Korean anime's would be much harder to find here on youtube.

  • @anime0pop:

I'm open to either Korean or Japanese Anime.

I've watched so much Japanese Anime, so I'm used to it too.

But, if the Korean stuff is good too, then I'm cool with it.

It's true that finding some of the newer Korean Anime, just might be tricky, but it's still out there somewhere, even if it's not here on YouTube.

  • wow i wrote korean anime and only one popped up

    looks interesting

does anyone know if they did an anime for shaman warrior and banya??

  • why is it 3d and 2d at the same time? does it match?

  • AKIRA?

  • :OOO LOOKS KOOL!!!

  • @paradelosky:

    Yes, it does!

  • first part of the movie made me think about final fantasy XD

  • first part of the movie made me think of final fantasy XD

  • XD only japanese can make good anime

  • @blazerx900:

South Korea & the West are trying to play catch up with them, though....

  • @VideoQuestEx I agree then I watched this anime I was full of emotions. Koreans can make good anime with storyline too.

  • @SnikerzzLT:

I've only seen bits & pieces of 'Sky Blue: Wonderful Days' in the past. I gotta sit down and watch the whole thing start to finish. It does look interesting.

  • @VideoQuestEx Agree then I watched this anime I was full of emotions. Koreans can make good anime with storyline too.

  • @VideoQuestEx Agree then I watched this anime I was full of emotions. Koreans can make good anime with storyline too. Drawings with CG was really good that managed to render that gloomy atmosphere.

  • @VideoQuestEx Agree then I watched this anime I was full of emotions. Koreans can make good anime with storyline too. Drawings with CG was really amazing that managed to render that gloomy atmosphere.

  • @blazerx900

    What an utterly dumb statement.

  • Damn!! O.O this animation rocks!!! way better than the Japanese ones Ive seen XD! yay Korea!!!

  • The hand-drawn is AMAZING while the CGI is eye-bulgingly horrible. sucks since otherwise the movie looks fantastic. Always hoped for more animation from korea thats their own work :P

  • This one is not from South Korea ... roots came from North Korea

  • @nafets1963:

Really? Do you have any concrete proof of this?

Because "Wonderful Days" (aka Sky Blue) is listed virtually everywhere as a South Korean Anime.

  • The Korean wave is killing the Japanese's anime monopoly

  • @CostlyChris:

In this case, I say the more competition, the better.

When the Japanese & Korean Anime Companies compete for money & attention, they will hopefully turn out better products, and it's the anime fans who ultimately benefit from the higher quality shows/movies, etc.

  • @VideoQuestEx Well said, not going to argue but im just pointing out that Japan now has to compete against someone

  • @CostlyChris:

Actually, my point was more of a positive nod to anime in general, regardless of which camp it comes from.

The quality of some Korean Anime is up there with the Japanese ones.

I'm pretty sure casual anime fans won't be able to immediately tell any noticeable differences between the two, unless they dig deeper.

  • @CostlyChris

    Japanese anime is supreme.

  • @CostlyChris Meh, half the animators in Japanese studios are Korean, anyway. You know Naruto? Yup. Korean animators.
