My opinion is that Beck is just a clever opportunist. He doesn't believe in his new religion at all, it's just that Mormonism offers him a guaranteed audience. Mormonism is a pre-apocalyptic sect with a grandiose belief that they fulfill an important role in Bible prophecy. Since these are troubled times, Glen Beck right there to whip up the Mormon's religious zeal. My mother is a Mormon and listens to Beck, to her, criticizing Beck is almost like criticizing the Mormon "prophet".
@LuxAuterna: I once heard Beck talking w/ his new friend David Barton. He was talking about God. Barton said something about the "eternal God," I believe. Beck accepted this reference to an eternal God & indicated he also believe God is eternal. Either Beck has an adled understanding of what "eternal" means, or he doesn't understand this basic Mormon teaching. There is no eternal God in Mormonism. God is not the creator of this world. Beck (having been raised as Catholic) still talks so.
