When a vehicle has a vacuum hose leak, does it cause the car to vibrate violently when you get up to a certain speed? Also, when you come to a complete stop (red light, stop sign), does the car sometimes cut off? If that's not the cause of a vacuum hose leak, then what is?

@turbomx66 Correct, this is an Second generation Mazda MX-6 2 LS 2.5L V6. I was hit on the driver's side door, so it was considered a total loss. The car is gone now.
I do happen to have a brand new Mazda orignal tensioner+timing belt for sale.
diagnose all vacuum leaks with raw propane. Get a cheap propane bottle in plumbing section of store. Open propane bottle valve but don't light it. Pour raw propane over any possible vacuum leak or running engine. . Engine running better or worse means you found the leak.

@Jr72 Hey man. Possibly the guy added oil spirits to your gas tank. A few people have complained about adding these to an empty gas tank without filling up the tank immediately, which makes things worse for no known reason. Alternatively some junk from the tank clogged your fuel system. Check fuel pressures and possibly also change the fuel filter. Do so following the Haynes manual instructions for your vehicle. Failing to do so could be life threatening. Good luck.

thats a nice intake manifold, mine is white. But it lights up red at night. I get those damn leaks too, but ill tell you the trick, when your taco-meter starts leaking, stop counting in spanish and it will get better, mmmm-kay, thanks

danyb730, I'm not a mechanic nor expert, but it's kinda related to the intake temp; air mass flow sensor; throttle position sensor; Idle Air Control valve; lack of antifreeze or maybe you have a vacuum leak, among others. I suggest you do the following: 1-sign up to one of the forums of your particular Honda model; 2-download a workshop manual if available; or purchase the Haynes manual. 3-Don't do anything until you understand well what you're doing. easy way to see if u have one vacuum gauge to manifold vac should be 0 at wide open 22-24 snap /open throttle on na motor unless force inducted this is a mazda 626 with maf problem period!
no its because they ran out of tacos. The light indicated that the taco dispenser is busted, they basically gave it to the count of ten to spit out a taco before they kick its ass. See everyone calls that gauge a tachometer, but see your diagnosis is wrong because on that model it came with a taco meter. All you have to do is pack the air filter with corn and drop some carne asada into the intake, that gauge should tell you its making more that 1 taco. Just try it dude i had that model.
actually they are useless but forced to be on cars for emissions. Introducing soot and other crap back into the combustion chamber to lower combustion temperatures. Unfortunately it dirties the oil faster as well as beats the snot out of the engine.
