@aschuram do you have SSH downloaded on your Ipod/iphone touch? you have to download it from cydia and SSH has to be on, on your Iphone/iPod touch then try again, it should work. hope this help =)

Listen.... i figured out why it hasnt been working even after you make ROMs and GBA folders. Gpsphone looks under /private/var/mobile/Media/Roms­/GBA for the games and BIOS, but this tutorial tells you to go go to /private/var/root/... Huge difference. After installing Gpsphone and logging on to WinSCP, go UP A LEVEL from root and into mobile, THEN Media. If you are doing this correctly and have already installed GpSphone, there should ALREADY BE empty Media, ROMs, and GBA folders.

@GigaMushroom Very true. I didn't have to make a new folder named ROMS. I used total commander. for those of you that don't have wifi total commander is the right program for you. It doesnt need wifi. Just youtube total commander download it and than when everything is set and done search Media than go to the first folder that comes up and you should be able to take it from there. Just so you know anything beginning with a 192.168 etc is an internal IP address for your own network, anything on the outside shows as your real ip :).

yea, the problem is that you havent enabled SSH on your ipod. Download something like "open SSh" or "Toggle SSH"

no need to hide his IP. It's all NAT , private Class C address.. nobody can do anything to it (unless they are on your network). I would however SSH (with putty or something similar) into your phone and change your super user (or root) password. That's your bigger security flaw right there.

I found out now, i just didnt got SSH properly installed on my ipod :P but remember, put in your own ip adress, you will find it under Settings-Wifi then type the blue arrow next to your wifi network :D

if you get the error message: netowrk error - connection refused, it means that you either didnt type in the correst ip-adress: 192.168.0.233, or that you have typed in the wrong username: root ... or password: alpine... But you have to be within this guys area to do it, so it will only work for lllJokerlll or his neighbours, so this video dont help at all!!

make sure you have openssh installed from the installer app and services also installed from the intaller app. now go on services and toggle openssh on and off then restart the ipod and it should work.

Im having the same problem. I do not have a 'Media' folder on private/var/root/... only library. I tried forwarding it from private/var/mobile but it didn't work, I only messed up my ipod since it wasn't able to read its music, videos, etc. After correcting this, I tried to add the .gba file on private/var/mobile/media, but didn't work either. When I try to open gpSPhone it says no ROMs were found and to please upload them to var/root/media.. if anyone knows how to solve this please let me know
