it makes you think of the human race as a whole and where were going. It also gives you some awesomely epic montages in your head about the UNSC kicking the covenants ass.
thank you so much this is my favorite song ive been trying to look for it and i finally found it and now i get to listen to it all the time without having to go through all of the level on legendary thanks so much
@neogunner264 i agree. it is sad, especially hearing it when i get to the tribute room in Halo reach. it's as if Bungie is saying goodbye to the franchise, as well as HBO, Rooster Teeth, etc.
And Bungie having stepped back from Halo as of now, it makes me feel grateful. Grateful that Bungie was able to give us a universe that has bound all of us together, kept us going, and united all Halo fans.
@DooMGuy117 Aye. Bungie made the tribute room as a thank you present to the many communities and fans that helped to get them to kick ass status. I was one of the many who got to see it, and obviously I was astounded by what I saw. The posters, the signs and all. It was glorious to behold years of Bungie's work, left behind for us to finally look upon.
Aaaahhh. Found this reading about easter eggs on SA. I remember the first time I heard it, in Myth 2. IIRC Madrigal was being attacked by some ancient evil and it looked like there was no way out, this was played in the mission briefing
Very saddening about this song though its hidden twice in Halo: CE, never oufnd in Halo 2 and then put in a ridiculously easy place to find it in Halo 3. Still though a truly wonderful piece of music
There should be a metal door in the multiplayer map Ivory Tower. Stand next to it to hear the song. It might take a while, and it is very faint, but still there. (If you open up the map file and examine it, you will find the sound files for the song.)
@MrTommyDB yeah i just did it today after reading it on halopedia, i waited about 30 mins, every 10 mins i heard like boxes falling and stuff then after 30 mins i finally heard the song play...sadly it only plays the first part of the song, from the beginning of the song to 0:14 thats how much it plays
It's a song from Myth the fallen lords, if you have never played that game, it's a must. You may need an emulator now tho. That song really reflects the crysis people were in, in the game. A real classic
@GhostVenom051 What would be life for you? I think i'm pretty much alive right now, and I hope I'll still live for many years. If getting a life means i'm dead then what am I doing here, listening to this Master Piece?
@MrAnimeOst actually, it's from the game Myth, the first game bungie made. But you are correct, the Siege Of Madrigal song is an easter egg in every Halo gam.
@hobojoeisme It is from Myth, however Myth is far from the first Bungie game made. Marathon was made before that and is more famous. They also made Abuse, Operation: Desert Storm (The last boss is Saddam Hussein's head!), Pathways into Darkness (Very scary), and, best of all...
Their first game ever...
Gnop! (The "!" is part of the title!) It's basically pong, but... Well, no, it's pong. It was freeware, but some folks sent Bungie (Then a two-man-band) some money.
@MrAnimeOst No. He's right. It's not in Halo Wars. It's assumed that it's not because it's not really a Bungie game. The troll comment was unnecessary.
Its such a beutiful song.... I searched everywhere on every halo until i found all of them. I just listen to it over and over, and i feel like i heard it somewhere else even though i never played myth.
ok. Here's how you download the song. right click on the link, save as target. it's on the top of the options and save it in a document or any file of yours. and then let it download, and you can play it in windows media player...
I apreciate the other but it turns out that my friend had the song and the remixed version in his folders like he had a folder in a folder in another folder he forgot about it did a quick search and he sent'em to me
