WTF I haven't even watched this movie yet and I love boxing.

Eveyone should watch "Facing Ali" its a documentary on ALI, that was made in 2009, they have almost every big time boxer that fought Ali interviewed in the documentary.

Now that I have a good background history on Ali, i'm gonna watch it...and Will Smith is in it! He also has the tone and accent of Ali down lol

It's better if you know a bit about his main fights and struggle with the government, I wouldn't advise watching it straight away it is pretty confusing and long otherwise. But it has some of the best scene I've seen in any film.

1. Fedor Emelianenko is not a boxer, he is a mixed martial artist.

2. Fedor Emelianenko was not a black boxer in the US at a time where black people were the most discriminated in the US.

3. Muhammed Ali had to be cocky to prove to everyone that not only could a black boxer be a white boxer's equal, he could also be superior.

4. Overrated? As far as I remember he held three World titles at the same time.

@TheAraber93 Yes I'm well aware Fedor is a mixed martial artist. To me race has nothing to do with it, and it certainly does not give you an excuse to act a certain way. You can be Africa, White, Korean, Chinese, Jamaican, Black, Brown, Purple, or Blue, people don't care what color you are as a fighter, they care how you fight, and how you carry yourself. Many people have carried the three world titles at the same time and there isn't a big Hollywood production on them.

@wade2thehamilton Tyson was exiting I agree, but Tyson never beat any one of the caliber Ali beat in his prime or even past it. Thats where most people see the difference. And the world never got to see Ali in his true prime because he lost almost 4 years of it. When he came back, never the same but still found ways to beat the best competition out there. Tyson was similar when he came back he was not the same but he never really got back on his feet like Ali did career success-wise.

My man criticism of this film is that to someone who wasn't previously aware of the full Ali story it was difficult to follow at times. However the acting performances were immense. Especially Will Smith and whoever played Cossell.
