  • She is one of four surviving Essex class carriers, I was on the Intrepid CV-11 in NYC a few years ago. The Lexington CV-16 is in Corpus Christi TX and the Hornet CV-12 outside of San Francisco.

  • My dad served on the Yorktown during Vietnam. 1963-65 I think. We drive down there a few years or so. Sad about the budget issues going on with the old lady these days.
