I've seen a couple of these and it's always on this same version of tetris. This game lets you do a move and rotate after you hit the stack. In other words, you don't have to care about how and when it drops. I noticed two rotations on pieces that have hit the stack. He's obviously a great player, but this strategy would never work on all tetris games.
