Awesome vid... this will have to do until I get my own! Ugh, 'few more years. 'Cracks me up... the few that are jealous of your ride and make silly comments. Please post more when you can.
Looks like a nice tame drive in the country to me, but then I was actually THERE. No speeding, no dangerous driving and even with plenty of cops around, no complaints from anyone—just smiles and waves. The nicest and most responsible bunch of car guys I could imagine.
Hmmm video taping driving like an idiot while crossing the solid yellow 5 times. So having a vehicle with a low profile, passing in a no pass zone is ok and safe? So risking the safety of someone in the opposing lane is ok? The "Rules dont apply to me" actions I see in that video are pretty annoying.
The bad rep is because people like you just reinforce the mentality of the general public that thinks we drive like aholes because we can and will since we have rare cars with horsepower.
2 The second time I do this I am actually a few feet beyond the dashed line. The third time was rather blatant, so you have a point. But with absolutely no opposing traffic anywhere in the distance I quickly and safely passed the one car in front of me before safely pulling off to the shoulder.
3 If you count the seconds from the time I return to my lane before any traffic appears in the opposing lanes you will note that at no time do I put any opposing traffic in any kind of danger. There are two such instances. In the first I am firmly in my right lane for a full 6 seconds before any oncoming traffic appears. In the second, 10 seconds before any oncoming traffic appears.
4 Videotaping while driving can be hazardous. But you will note that the video camera does not move at all. That is because it is securely mounted in a camera stand bolted to the roll bar. It requires no effort or any attention on my part to operate. It simply shoots what it sees. You will see that I do make one small camera adjustment once. However, when I do this I am stopped on the side of the road.
5 At no time during the shooting of this video do I or any other cars exceed the posted speed limit. The cars in front of me are cruising well below the speed limit and I approach the speed limit of 100 km (60 mph) briefly as I pass them. Neither my attitude, nor my engine, nor the aerodynamic shape of the vehicle require any modification whatsoever for this to take place.
6 There is nothing reckless or unsafe about any of what you see. However, I admit to crossing the double yellow line a few feet beyond the allowable limit and clearly crossing it briefly another time. But of course, there is no traffic at all in the opposing lane when I do this and it remains so until long after I return to the right lane.
7 Once can see, on a regular basis, soccer Moms crossing double yellows briefly when there is no opposing traffic on a quiet road. Such actions do not for a moment cause me to consider minivans dangerous, nor do they lead me to believe that those who drive minivans deserve a bad reputation.
Nice one.

Speaking as a professional driver,
it all looked good to me,
surely, if you were driving dangerously, the cops would have stopped you.
glad to see the youtube nazis are still here to criticize everyone else,
safe driving man!

And what exactly was it that I was doing to give Pantera owners a "bad rep?"

the double yellow line means don't cross it. Not 2 feet, not 2 inches. Go get retested at the DMV. By the way, how small is your unit? Must be tiny.
And to the idiot pro driver, "cops would have stopped you" - what cops??? They're not at every 1/4 mile, you moron.

Looks like fun, going fast o.k. but ignoring the solid yellow lines isn't the smartest choice.

Look at the video and the lines more closely. In fact, look at all of it more closely and you will note the following:
1 The first time I cross over over what you think are double yellow lines are actually broken on the right side, allowing such passing.
