I spent a few years in England and we had a crow that used to come into the backyard in london and share our food and was almost as tame as that one. They are great birds, very smart! He was probably hand reared by someone then released back into the wild. We've taken in a baby jackdaw and he's really tame, understands the word "no" now though which is useful for me when he starts to get too rough :)
