  • it is good shit? lol good work man.

  • Hi, Love the Sheaths and the knifes ! great work. Question have you tried putting a metal belt clip or making one out of Kydex or cutting one out of the back of the sheath heating the top and shaping it like a clip so its one peace of Kydex is it possible.

    Cheers mate!

  • Cute Gerber Perry Knife! :P

  • i always use too many rivets when i make my sheaths. for 1 sheath for my gerber lmf i used 14 1/4 rivets!!!

  • yea you have to use carbide for the gerbers.

  • where did you get your rivet punch

  • @papermaker101101 knifekits website

  • @gavkoo what size

  • @papermaker101101 i use 8-8 rivets for the 0.08 kydex 1/4" diameter...

  • Whats about the weight? A good Neck Knife must be weight under 50gr , better under 40g. Because NeckKnife whole day carrying, is stress for your Neck if the weight of the whole is more 60gr, i dont know which weight is best but i Think that must be light weight for carrying comfort! edit Kydex Holster are best!^^

  • I would like to purchase a sheath from you for my Gerber Epic. Where do I do that?

  • @tylernorha it will be 20 bucks, pm me for details if you're interested.

  • What's the we'd address for that sight? Cause I'm totally lost ha

  • @tylernorha i dont understand what you mean now, sorry.

  • Do you have a site where I can place an order for a Gerber Epic sheath, the screws popped out of the sheath it came with when I was working so now it just sits in my pocket.

  • @tylernorha no site lol. i only have a site with pictures of my work. you can order the sheath for any knife through pms...

  • What did u do to the f1 why is it so dirty

  • @ThatsAsian it used to be black. i didnt polish it completely, no reason to polish it, its a user, it will clean by itself...

  • Nice work man, love all those sheaths!

  • i have to admit i have never been a fan of fixed blades until after watching your vids brother. after watching your sheath vids i can honestly say that i would now purchase a fixed blade.. the sheath just makes the knife more badass and practical.. i have never been fan of leather sheaths or nylon but after seeing what kydex can do, i am sold.. i have only one fixed blade that was given to me by a friend.. a blackwater gear black blade with coyote tan sheath and handle. it's pretty rare.

  • The sheaths are bad ass. i hate gerber though lol.

  • nice job mate

  • Great sheaths. Do you ever fold over the back spine of the sheath rather than rivets? For a narrower sheath.

  • @rongallant yep i did many like that. but my preferred is this way for more mounting/fixing options... its only about half inch higher so not much difference anyways.

  • @gavkoo Ah, good point. You have me wanting to try my hand at it. Great videos and thank you.

  • @rongallant no problem man. take care. thanks for watching

  • They didnt come out pretty nice....they came out great

  • great stuff as usual bro! did you see that new mini belt sharpener that Adam showed on his channel, pretty cool eh!

  • @thomassmyth65 not yet bro. still catching on the videos. watched the fiddleback video tho. super cool because that guy kevin estella they've mentioned i've met up at the martys peace randevous i've been up there next to canada lol. very cool to hear about people i know :) (hehe even have him on facebook :) lol )

  • I forgot, and I cut myself today....it sucked.

  • @DesertPrepper damn! careful with those sharp suckers :) they always get you when you dont expect it :)

  • WOW!!! after looking at your work, I feel doubly thankful for your agreeing to help me with my blades, brother! I agree about the serrations..usually I would rather not have a combination blade..but in the EPIC, the straight blade is long enough to be useful, and as a tool, the serrations do come in handy occasionally, enough to suffer through having them on the blade. I agree about the difficulty sharpening Gerber steel, but I get great results with my Smith's compound Diamond stone. THANKS!!!

  • @HamBeau so you like it or do you see something you want to change on them?

  • @gavkoo I would never change ANYTHING the artist sees in his work! what you did is EXACTLY why I wouldn't send them to anyone else. Absolutely Perfect. As usual, MORE than I expected, and I can't want to get them back. Send em on!!!!!!!!

    Thanks!

  • @HamBeau hehe thank you my friend. makes me very happy if i can make a friend/customer happy. they are going in the mail tomorrow first thing in the morning. (damn fast services i have :) ) lol did you get the cop tool yet?

  • @gavkoo Nope! probably see it tomorrow or Thursday due to the holiday. I already have the next job/commission for you if you're interested....LOL

  • @HamBeau lmao. what do you have in mind?

  • @gavkoo just got a killer deal on a new Ka-Bar Warthog. NOT impressed with the sheath they provide..it needs the master's touch. Might be interested in thoughts on the scales. Same type of tang shape and scales as the BK-7.

  • @HamBeau oh man, you send me your warthog adn you might not get it back :D :D :D lol i was eyeballing that blade for a while now. very interesting looking blade and i looooove interesting knives. i will love to make some kydex for it for you but handle is a tough one. kabars like that have hidden tang normally that is totally different type that i am used to work with. thats suited for micarta blocks type of handle that i dont have.

  • @gavkoo LOL..no fair..you HAVE to send it back!! LOL no sweat on the scales then. It's due here either by Saturday or Monday, so I will turn it around to you immediately after it arrives. If you see anything after you get it let me know and we'll work it out. THIS is another sign of my faith in your work...YOU get to play with my new knife before I do!!!

  • @HamBeau hehe so how much was that killer deal you got on it? just in case the knife gets lost in the mail so i know how much to pay you back :) hehe just kidding lol. i'll make some really bad ass sheath for that puppy i promise you. you just say the colors you like :) thank you for the opportunity to make something little on the side to cover my supplies at least a bit brother. i really appreciate it and i hope you are happy with the final products. (once you finally get them damn usps lol)

  • @gavkoo LOL..as always, I am the one who owes YOU the thanks, bro...your work is amazing and worth the price. NEVER have a problem paying for the kind of quality you provide. Hopefully you're making a little on the side after costs!

Dark grey blade and black scales...dark Kydex..either black or dark brown? Your call. And enough holes to lash it either vertically or horizontally. I can't wait to get this to you!

  • @HamBeau material isnt that expensive if i buy in bigger bulks (it does hurt to pay 100 at the time just for the order of kydex and some minor knife making supplies every month/two months lol) but with the sheaths its mostly time into it. i always try to make them also nice to look at, not only functional so i spend more time sanding and shaping. but i actually enjoy working with kydex so thats a pleasure. i dont think i will ever make money on this lol. its only a hobby :)

  • @gavkoo well, as usual, they are FANTASTIC! Email me direct and let me know the price when you have it and I will forward it immediately as usual!

  • @HamBeau and how about the double color? do you like those sheaths? one side black and one chocolate brown(or gray) for example?

  • If gerber upgrades their steel to 154cm or VG-10 and some S30V i would buy some gerbers but 420 HC sucks!!! especially on their heat treatment!

  • @Tux3d0 gerber doesnt use 420hc. i wish they would. 420hc isnt all that bad

  • @gavkoo Isn't it what they use? I know on some knives they use a mystery steel that sucks alot more... The gerber Gator and LHR and in 420 for all I know

  • Sweet work man! Like always

  • looking good

  • nice dude and im finally back

  • i see you got pav's sheeth done .. my knife will be in the mail tomorrow :) great work as always

  • @ER720 those are actually hambous gerbers he ordered custom sheaths for. looking forward to your knfie bro.

  • @gavkoo .. oh cool .. i am looking forward to getting some GavDex :)

  • awsome work! just like its factory made! thanks for the video always enjoy yours!
