  • In my opinion, this aria requires a bass sound, not a baritone! This vocal sound is far too lightweight for the Verdi Requiem. I don´t know how hold he is; I suppose he´s quite young, so he shouldn´t even have contemplated singing this.

  • or, for example, his "gere curam" is more like "gero curom". pitty, i think he can du much better in the diction than now. i think it's just bad technique, based on pressing and couloring the vowels. that's the problem of many young singers of today, even the prominent ones- garanca, netrebko, hvorostovsky...

  • on some parts still a bit pressed. his vocals are still "too german". for example the first "oro supplex" is more like "ooooro soooplooox" instead of precisely "oooro suuuupleeex". of course, he makes e and u, but it is covered by a slight touch of "o". his tessitura is more like a baritone, but he is indeed suitable for (at least this part of) the v-requiem. his registers are still not 100%ly equilised. however, nice material.
