I just think they so clearly resemble The Beatles (not just with their hair, but with their suits & old school guitars, & how they have 60's dancers in the Standing Next To Me video, etc.). By themselves those factors wouldn't mean much, but all together it's an obvious statement. They're British too, for God's sake!

I doubt the Beatles made it up. they probably got it from around their area in England and just made it popular in the U.S. and stuff. and besides, anyone could have that hairstyle, if they just didn't cut their hair when it got to that length. you cant "invent" a hair length, which is what it is, basically.

Just ask someone from the 60's or earlier what they think...because we weren't around during those times we don't relaize the impact that The Beatles had on style; I mean, companies started mass-producing Beatles-esque wigs right after they hit fame. I know this because I've seen old movies & documentaries on The Beatles, etc. Everybody says that they were the first. I'm sure hundreds of people had the hair before them, but they made it more than just a hiarstyle; a trend.
