I m Italian and gotta specify that Arlequin (Arlecchino in It) wasm't "the" main carachter in the comedy of the Art. But he was "one of the" main caracthers.

Comedy of the Art Takes inspiration From Greek And Roman Theatre.

All actor weared masks that symbolized fifferent behaviours and feelings.

Italy is diveided into regions (sort of us states). and each region has his own masks. Arlequin is from North-east Italy. (Veneto Region)
