why is it that all these more popular metal bands with female singers are always so light? Not that thats bad or anything I love nightwish and what little I've heard of other bands, its just that stuff like this I wouldn't even really consider metal and I'd love to hear more women sing in death growls and generally heavier songs. The only band I can name thats like that is arch enemy, but there should be more!

I have heard of Delain before and I was hoping to be impressed when I saw this video and clicked on it. Unfortunately , This is just a terrible song. I hope the band has other songs that are decent, but I won't bother finding out. I would say Delain belongs in the lower third of their genre bracket...

@Saje3D Have you been to an Epica concert? Delain basically went to one, copied all of Epica's physical movements onstage and tried (not very well) to replicate them.
@ultimat3man I love Epica, and also love Delain. They are quite different, and if you have actually listened to both then I'm surprised that you think Delain copied them. Delain doesn't have growls in most of their songs, the guy who does growls guested on those songs he's not in the band. Delain also doesn't have opera vocals, choirs, spoken monologues and orchestral sections. The lyrics in Epica's songs are primarily about religion, whereas Delain's are about relationships... quite different
