  • Just love the song and the band. Thanks & greetings from Andalusia.

  • Beth, I love your music and this is one of my favorite songs of yours. I know this seems like a really generic fan comment, but if this is really you, just know that this is a sincere sentiment put across in a very straightforward and humble way — a perfect reflection of your music. Thank you for all the beauty you've put out into the world — the same to Bobby.

  • @Austintayeshus Aw.... I'm tearing up! Thanks for the lovely note.... And Bobby says thank you as well. :)

  • Hello, I listen "november starling" and I discover this wonderful song, I hope they will know a big sucesse in europe and my small radio France!!!! I love this band it' s my soul, thanks, bye.

  • I love 'Hurry Home Through The Crowds' from this E.P. even if it does steal the percussion track from Andrew Gold's 'Never Let Her Slip Away' ;)

  • You mean you love "Hurry Home..." BECAUSE we stole the drums from "Never Let Her Slip Away" AND "Heartache Tonight" by The Eagles. (Andrew Gold stole it first!!) As Paul Weller said "you're meant to notice" :) XBeth

  • Paul Weller!...I prefer my quotes to have a more august source such as George Bernard Shaw - 'It is long and hard and painful to create life: it is short and easy to steal the life others have made'

  • Emerson: 'The greatest genius is the most indebted man' (and woman, where applicable).

That said, I'm not sure if 'genius' and The Eagles correspond entirely.

  • Wonderful song, beautiful vocal- when I hear this I feel melancholy mixed with hope, something I get from many Trembling Blue Stars songs.

  • me too!!!

  • Hear Hear!

  • Since TBS started, I'd hoped that one day I might get to see a live performance, as I managed to miss out on Field Mice gigs - not even the Sarah farewell party at the Thekla could persuade them.......

Keep working on Bobby, Beth, plenty of us want to see you on stage......

(And if you do, there's got to be a performance of "Now That There's Nothing the Way"......)

  • Ah...Trembling Blue Stars. Class class class. Thank you again Beth. I'd sell my soul to the devil if I could write all the images that come to my mind when I listen to things like Until The Dream Gets Broken, She's Always There or Never Loved You More, just to name three gems. And I'll never forget the gig in A Coruña. Thanks.

  • Does any one have "Angie Baby" to post. Bloody love that track and have not heard it in years

  • gosh, how can anyone be so insensitive to yell out boring? they couldn't do what bobby does if they tried...

  • TBS are wonderful!!! Not one bad track!!

  • It's heartbreaking to know that one tosser shouting through an upstairs door would do for Bobby playing live. Bobby is, IMHO, the best living English songwriter, and for him to retire his live work would be a dreadful waste. I was listening to a burnt CD on the way home from work this morning and between They Might Be Giants and the Bluetones was "Do People Ever' and I just thought, how can this guy not play live...? I'm sure we can keep the tossers out for a quiet acoustic gig...

  • I was at the 'BORING!' gig and it was great! Any likelihood of playing the UK again soon?

  • Hey there - Sadly, due too wankers like "Mr Boring" Bobby's lost all will to ever play live again! I think our ill fated waste of a time of a last "tour" sealed the deal and it's not likely we'll play live again :( On a happy note, we mastered our new LP and EP yesterday and I think everything sounds really good!

  • what?! :|

I'm only 17, it can't be too late, I never had the chance! Surely if you have such a good beat as this during live sessions it can't be boring! Whoever you are "mr. boring" You should be killed. Twice.

  • yes, & may i make the first stab?!

  • gee i hope bobby's got more self-belief than that! field mice, we miss you.

  • I think after talking to him a few times I get him now...he's just doing what he wants. He's creating.

  • soooo many good bands out there, soooo little time. bobby must be an inspiration to talk to. lucky you, you got to speak with him! anyway, it should always be about live & let live...

  • I've never met them, but Bobby and Beth are up for a bit of banter sometimes. They're both cool and admirable in their own ways. I'd love to bump into them one day!

It was actually in conversation about the X factor that I kind of realised what Bobby was all about. Obviously we were mocking it! But while he was saying what simon cowel wasn't doing I realised what Bobby was trying to do, and that's not play the music business game...he's just an artist.

  • Duh!

  • Went to quite a few of the gigs in that little spell when TBS played around London a few years ago - Notting Hill Arts Club? on a Saturday afternoon and the Spitz on a Friday night- where I made it a weekend with seeing the Cobblers beating QPR 3-1 and getting dumped by my then girlfriend on the Saturday! I'm sure some of those were recorded and it would be would be great to see them on here....any idea of who might have the recordings Beth?

  • Sorry mate :( Sadly, no. I think they people who would have recorded any of those gigs were people who we don't know so we wouldn't know if they did or not. I'd be interested in hearing the Notting Hill Arts Club one because at one point I remember someone yelling "BORING!!!" I think The Spitz gig was the last gig we played in England. I would say the UK, but there was an ill-fated Glasgow gig a year or so ago. I sure hope no one recorded THAT!

  • It's the only video we HAVE :(

  • que buen grupo csm

  • Don't let your music stop. We need more artist of your sort!!!

    Cheers

  • Trembling blue stars on youtube - me so happy. Ive listened for absolute yrs to this band. Some tracks are classics, but all are good :¬D

  • Likewise. I'd almost given up searching for tbstars on youtube when this appeared. I know there's more out there, yet finding the stuff is nigh on impossible. I read on a forum that there are also some Field Mice MVs viewable on a German site and - although I find it hard to believe - even one from Northern Picture Library. If u c or hear, pls let me know. And many thanx to BethArzy for sharing.

  • oh helen reddy. whatever happened to her?
