  • I'm not typically a troll but today I am. Way to set up the bench press wrong. On the plates put the numbers on the inside, use locks or stops so your weights don't slide out and and like others said clear the area

  • haha ouch man. Well now you know to always check the area and make sure its clear. tapping shit like that can kill focus, and that's really what is needed while lifting.

  • Lucky that safety bar was there, if not, you would have been in bigger trouble. Word to the wise: If this ever happens to anyone, best thing to do is to tilt the bar to one side, and let the plates fall off. Hopefully, you didn't put any clamps (which you shouldn't for lifts like these), and they'll slide right off. Best of luck to you.

  • I've had to do that before too. hahahahaha. Only I was benching. So I had to roll it over my chest, and kinda sit up and get it SAFELY past my crotch area to my thighs and then sit on the bench. lol. It wasn't too bad, it was like 185lbs and I was on my last set. Just went jello all of a sudden.

  • You should have adjusted the spotter bars 4 holes up. This is a spotter rack, meant to protect the lifter.
