Turn your head 90 degrees clockwise and notice that the picture DOES have a three-dimensional space, the only trick your mind plays is the absence of unidirectional gravity acting upon the human forms. Not really a statement on dimensions of space, but just a crazy cartoon world where gravity seems to act in three vectors...or maybe humans can just walk on walls really well.

interesting animation ..the legs on the going up motion .the bends. need alittle work but im sure you realize. .that a friendly Criticism..was that motion capture or keyframing .i liked it tho.... nice to see someones Interpretation of m.c. escher art ,in animation .great artist.must hav taken awhile to get all thos characters not bumb into each other .. its ah v.good escher ode ..please check out my little animation ..under they search for ..ode to dali and escher .. enjoy

Hi, thanks for your comments. Very impressed with your videos. The piece was the final part of my final year project at university.

The motion was generated using the basic walk function in character studio with some subtle tweaking of course. Avoiding nasty collisions was of course a challenge but I can't reveal all my secrets can I?!

The real challenge was getting the characters to walk in the different planes.
