Hi, its useful in an apartment or wherever to help you identify with your own voice, it may stop you from singing too loud since you can hear yourself clearly. It will not stop your neighbors from hearing you if you are belting it out

Does this reduce the acoustic volume? I mean, I live in an apartment and want to be able to sing loud without bothering my neighbors, will this dull the sound for others?
