  • You should go back to the large scale every once and a while, they are much more fun to watch with the coal fired boiler and accurate levers.

  • Well Ladybird has her steam test this Saturday so she will be ready for the season's work. I might well do another video ........

    Cheers

  • Since I'm only 14 and just getting into the details of steam what type of valve gear is that?

  • The Tinkerbell class was designed by Roger Marsh and has a modified Hackworth valve gear as developed by Sir Arthur Heywood for his 15" gauge estate railways. It is also known as Heywood valve gear. It works fine - but is a bit noisy in action.

  • Great video, I went on this line at the B&W Show, afew years back now, be fore it was extended!

  • Many thanks - it is well worth another visit! The half mile track goes round the lake now with another superb bridge over the waterfall. We are just completing a large turntable which will be ready for the B&W show.

  • I didn't realise you were helping with the building, and yes, I do want to go to the B&W show, I not far away from it, infact I pass the very railway I vollunteer at (the East Somerset railway), mum and dad would like to go this year, but it costs so much to get in there!

    Thanks!

  • True, it is worth it, if only I could get that through to my mum and dad.. ;)

I have looked at the site, and i've driven one of there locos, the S&D blue 0.4.0 electric loco, the ESR used it on the first Thomas event, be fore we got our own diesel loco to assist our steam loco!
