Alright here's what you need to do get some expanding foam and just fill it up with it..itll go into all the cracks and itll harden up like a rock and no more worries :)

theve broke a contract with u, u should definatly return it back to the store and ask 4 a full refund and complain, and show how the quality of the product is not met up to the standards of the customer.

sorry to hear that you are dealing with shoddy construction. 5 stars for dealing with horrible quality. The thing that bothers me about most of GW's terrain beyond the quality of construction is the fact that models don't sit well on them. You always have to lean the models in the terrain which gunks up line of sight rules.
