LOL it was annoying watching you not sure what to do (not in a horrible way) but because I've played this game before I know where to go and everything I felt like shouting at the laptop screen haha. Your commentary makes me laugh though
Doom 64 was the first game I ever played. I was 4 yrs old. I always had my dad turn the corner in level 1... that was always freaky to me. (btw, Im 17 now)
the thing i wonder about doom 3 is if your in 2045 wouldent they be inteligent enough to make a gun whith a built in flashlight cause i think we have those now and since 3 takes place in the future i think that would be very easy
@greyj16 It's 2145, not 2045. And the whole thing with the flashlight is part of it's survival horror gimmick. See, the thing is if you have a gun, and it's a GOOD fps game (which are a dying species now), there is no way to scare the player, since they can shot at whatever jumps out at them, even if it's in dark lighting.
With a flashlight, it allows the player to see the environment while sacrificing their ability to any threats they can now see. It's a tradeoff. That's the whole point.
Not really. I enjoyed all the new survival horror games nowadays. There not that bad. Just put them on very hard right at the beginning and they wont look so friendly anymore.

best thing to do when loads of enemies are shooting is to find a safe spot and let them kill each other to save ammo,

This game actually had a very creepy atmosphere! I got a little bit scared playing this game at night with loud headphones! >:D
I love horror games. Even though Doom back in the day wasn't as scary as Doom3. I only see Doom 64 and Doom 3 to be scary.

The first time I played Doom 3 I was a bit jumpy, but it later prepaired me for all horror games.

But my idea of a scary game is a hard one.
The more helpless you are, the more worried you get! >:)

Which is what we never get nowadays, *sigh* as soon as resident evil got rid of the camera angles is when 'survival' horror genre started dying.

That's true, and it's not that I hate them, they just don't scare me much sadly. But I look forward to playing RE5 and Alan Wake.

Trust me. IGNORE the whiny fanboys of Resident Evil. Resident Evil 5 is a really good game! Challenging too. :)
I don't know if it will scare you though, but its still fairly creepy.
thedragonb0y 2 years ago
I will (and they haven't changed my mind on playing it) I just need money. =P
.....I can has 60$ from you? XD

I'd still rent it first because that's always a good idea.

my favourite weapon of any doom is the double barrel, even though it wasn't in the original doom
