Actually, a major part of their image (especialy in t.A.T.u.'s early stuff) was that they were lovers. But the t.A.T.u project has... not exactly broken up, but they've both gone on doing their own things, doing t.A.T.u. sort of part time. And I think with the switching of producers and Yulia's getting pregnant, and just them getting older, they toned down that image.
