  • ta kalitera tic tacs

  • he's got a damn nice wallrun!

  • Nice video man! Keep training!!

  • @the people who say: "You are not Dim Monk!"

    How retarded are you?

    1. I didn't steal anything. When I posted this video, it wasn't available for viewing anywhere else on the Internet.

    2. I make it absolutely clear that the person on the video is Dim Monk, not me, because I wrote "Dim Monk", not "noxteryn", on both the title and the video description. Are you fucking blind?

    3. As you can see on my profile, my name is Chris. Dim Monk's name is Steven. How could I possibly pretend to be him?

  • You are not Dim monk. Why are you pretending this video is yours?

It's one thing to steal somebody's video and then post it, but you dont' even acknowledge that, you just steal the video and then pretend that you're him by posting in the info section. Why would you do this?

  • паркур

  • you have an unique style & nice flow

watching these takes makes me happy

    :F

  • Your not dim monk xD

  • hey dude its nice to finally see a vid without any fucking flips in so good job!

  • NIce Flow!

  • OMG!Is your nuts okay?FUCKK

  • And u also did the worst thing to do... YOUR ACTING AS IF YOU WHERE DIM !!!

  • U SUCK MAN... I dont understand why you download the vids of dim monk then u repost them dude seriously thats a crappy thing to do.. Maybe it<s cause you wanna have views by posting vids that arent even yours

  • Dude shut up your not Dim I know him I train sometimes with him YOUR JUST A FAKE!!

  • dude your explosivness and precision are fuckin crazy

  • damn the he got racked at the end

  • ok men ste gars i monte un mur trois fois plus haut que lui ?!%!

  • Music?

  • Just remember strength is relative and doing high rep bodyweight exericses all the time is only so helpful...

  • Though if you concentrait on training parkour instead of training you´r straight, you will get a body perfectly fit for parkour =)

  • sorry don't work that way :D

  • Yeah it kinda doas = )

  • You were saying just 'doing' parkour will make you fit enough for Parkour? :P That won't work :]

Body-weight is insufficient weight after a while, and you will only plateau :P Doing things like drops will not make you stronger.

Weight training on the other hand will continuously make you stronger and make your body more resilient to things like impact. Dumbbells, Barbells, Rocks, logs, weighted vest, all weight training, so without it you won't progress far with Parkour without joint injury:)

  • What I meen is, instead of lifting weights, you lift youself as you climb, etc, and you´r muscles will become perfect for what you do, lifting weights ofcourse makes you stronger, but it won´t become the same kinda muscle if you know what I meen, atliest thats what I belive = )

  • You won't build enough strength with your body by doing Parkour movements. Especially leg exercises. Just walking down-stairs places 2x your body-weight into the knee capsule. So how much do you think a drop would? :P

Doing small drops will do nothing for your leg strength to resist higher drops, therefore, barbell squats come in handy :) You can then easily progress and stengthen the legs better, and more efficiently than body-weight ever could :) And Squats are perfectly transferable to PK :)

  • but lifting weights isn't the right way to train your muscles for parkour. you should do push-ups, chin-ups, leg exercises, muscle ups, climb ups, train your abs.. etc. you don't want to be a bodybuilder, it won't help you in parkour

  • No, trkilla is right, you can train ur upper body extremely well without weights through use of gymnastics exercises but doing the same for your lower body wont cut it.

The best way to build strength for your legs (and infact whole body) is by doing weighted exercises, ie. squats deadlifts, power cleans, because they are providing the extra weight to fully activate ur muscles that just using BWE cant.

For all those reading and interested, read Starting Strength by Rippetoe.

  • Pistols, Box Jumps, Burpees, One-Legged Hops, Wall-Sits and Horse-Stance Holds are all body-weight exercises that can get your lower body extremely strong

Not trying to correct you AfroPK, just adding on (and hell yea to Rip's SS)

  • Those are all good exercises too and thanks for backing me up.

Btw, do you practice at primal because one of the guys in ur video looks just someone i have seen there. (the guy at :33 doing the catpass/kong)

  • yes sir, we're at Primal every so often, live in Baltimore, so it can be a trek

btw, new video coming soon, lots of progress has been made since we first started at the time of that video

  • I didnt know that you lived in baltimore, but ive jammed w u a few times, one of which being at the nats stadium. u were helping me get a long precision

  • dim lifts a shitload of weights :)

  • You do what youself like =)

  • @ISIJAH What I meen is, instead of lifting weights, you lift youself as you climb, etc, and you´r muscles will become perfect for what you do, lifting weights ofcourse makes you stronger, but it won´t become the same kinda muscle if you know what I meen, atliest thats what I belive = ).................

Well then what you believe is Wrong...Its a very old and now completely debunked Myth.. All professional modern athletes now incorporate some degree of weight training into their regiment...

  • @rainmechanic I totally totally agree with you that doing what you want to do, like climb, your muscles will become perfecly adapted for climbing! : D

  • sa a pas de sens comment tu pop Dim haha

  • I've known Dimmonk all my life and I can say he moves like water. That is the Key; Stong as a rock and fluididy like water.

  • the one foot kick off power from the wall is impressiv! I have to analyse this

  • how far do you come with onefoot???

  • you have to do it with one leg and your arms swinging forward so you dont loose momentum.Always one foot , so you dont loose speed. check out some vids on youtube, the re some great tutorials. write kong vaults or how to kong vault.peace

  • nice video you have written an very interesting infobox

i am doing parkour for one year now in germany. you are making your catjump with 2 legs right? like me but most other traceurs are doing the splitfoottechnique i mean jumpping off with one feet i dont know wether to change my technike

  • Hahaha, no, I don't make Parkour videos. Why do you care to see footage of me anyway?

  • you have vids of good traceurs I thought you would have some vids of yourself

  • No. I publish videos I find interesting. It has nothing to do with Parkour or the traceurs in them.

  • THIS.THIS is real parkour. It's the way it should be trained, and if you rush, youll get hurt.Thank you, Dim Monk for posting the wonderful video, and the small speech on the video description. -Austin-

  • THis really is an example of how to train parkour. I especially like your attitude to parkour. It cleared up my mind and now I'm trying to look at parkour the same way. As a long term thing which I like, and not to improve as fast as possible..

  • Please tell us how you do your two-footed wall pass!

  • very nice this summer we shall move again monkey ;)

  • just in my opinion, but..

its people like this who would be excellent in theivery.

i wish i had trained when i was younger.

  • U can train it now if u really want.

I meet a 27 year old boy who has just started his training

  • hehee. I would, really. I'm not sure how to begin training properly, though.

  • Just try basics moves, like monkeys or things like that. Then train your phisical condition, and see a lot of parkour videos to learn the tecnics.

U dont need nothing more, just want and try it. Be careful and train hard.

Good luck if you begin ;).

  • I'll start once as school gets out. XD Thanks.

  • i wanna see him fall

  • your legs are SO strong!

  • Also, what you write in you "About the video" section is a pleasure to see. I was kind of in between the ideas of "get good" and "First get in amazing shape, gain perfect control, and then get good" until today with the PK Generations guys. They're beasts, and yours is the idea they preached incessantly.

    Good message.

  • Niiiice. Just heard about you today. Two kids from Ottawa who came down to NY for the Parkour Generations training brought you up as one of Canada's finest.

Your Konga and Tic-Tacs are simply explosive, I love em.

    Very good stuff man.
