lol thanks...i use ernie ball hybrid strings and turn off the mids on the amp while increasing the high and low to get the sound

have you ever tried Fender strings? I read that mike uses those and gave them a try

they are pretty punchy and sound awesome for the price, way cheaper than ernie ball strings

i believe they´re are called fender 7250m, you should really try them and tell me what you think!

hah nope, ive never tried any other strings than the ernie ball hybrids. but if u say they r good, ill try those out next time if i remember, i need to change strings soon anyway :)

they´re a little more vintage-voiced, more mids and less treble than ernie balls

dunno exactly if they´ll fit your hoppus bass but here they're only like 15 bucks so they shouldn´t be too expensive in the u.s. as well :)

you should try other fender basses, like a 50s precision or some jazz basses

those are totally different from your hoppus bass, they CAN sound deep and bassy, the hoppus can´t really.. just some tips ;)
