hey, just wanted to throw in a random comment in regards to "dipping". I've gotten great results with soaking the models in pine-sol for a day or so (not so good with plastics though).
I really enjoyed your video man. Its nice to see someone that cares to explain how things are done. :)
I do have a question for you though. I always had problems getting the cloaks right on my models. Do you care to explain at a certain point how that is done properly?
I read an interesting article about figuring out where to put highlights on your model. Shine a flashlight onto your model from above/front. This will give your an idea where highlights would strike the model if it was being illuminated from the sun.
just about the removing paint from models. in White dwarf issue 248 I read that you can remove the paint with a tubber ware of wesley's bleach-white tire cleaner overnight. you can use a brush to clean out the small detail spots, it's environment safe and odor free. oh and it doesn't hurt plastic or glue. anyways just a tip I guess.
personaly its the first time i see this technique and it makes me discover new things and i think thats pretty cool and kind to share your experience with people.
These videos will help me alot for preparing my first games day and im very thanksfull to you.
